I was asked to fly a squad and beat the Tie Fighters and I did. Do I have to do it 5 more times with 5 more different squads to make the OP happy. I just don't have that time.
Escalation rules, I have to ask, were these playtested?
Nobody's using Flight Instructor against swarms?
I thought about flight instructor, but c3po seemed a better fit for the YT-1300. Plus guessing 0 evades on one evade is a **** good deal.
C3PO might not be legal yet...........but he will be. I could have easily not used those points at all, I would have taken 3-4 more damage and still whooped that squads ass.

Had the time to play a third rubber match with the squads I listed earlier. This time the Interceptor ran up the board and got behind my two ships at the same time the 3 tie fighters got in range. After 1 round of combat, he had a busted up Tie fighter and I had a Y-wing with only two hull left and lost its turret because of a crit. The Y wing took out a tie before it was annihilated, and Kyle (with full health) was left to fend off Howl runner and an Academy with full health, and the Alpha with 2 hull remaining. Kyle took care of the Alpha first and then focused on the two Ties. The HWK had two hull left, the Academy had one, and Howlrunner had two. The second Academy went down at the price of another hull from the HWK.
At this point, I figured it was over, Howl attacked first and I didn't think two evade dice and focus was going to be enough. I kept Howl from getting a R1 shot, got lucky with a shot through an asteroid and evened the game. Howl, K-turned to guarantee a shot against me and I ran a maneuver that insured a R2 shot and took a TL (as I had 2 focus token in reserve).
Howl missed, I didn't. My little 60 point duo won three out of three games (with two different players using the squad).
Again, don't fear the (mini) swarm ![]()
