What are the odds of actually suffering Critical Damage?

By DraconPyrothayan, in X-Wing

We all know that 1/8 sides of the attack dice have a {Crit} result, and 3/8 have a {Hit}.

However, since {Crits} get resolved after {Hits}, they're far less likely to be canceled by agility dice, or by shields.

So, mathwingers, what are the actual stats?

I actually added this functionality to my scripts quite a while ago, but I haven't taken the time to set up a test and look at the results. I guess I'll add this onto the growing "to-do" list.

Varies by ship too much to say. I would say that Crits go through maybe half the time they come up against shielded ships. More with cards that help with crits(Marksmanship, etc.) More against Ties. Especially against Bombers.

Also, the last hit being a crit means absolutely nothing so ships with two Hull(A-Wings, E-Wings, and Phantoms) can only take one crit, making them the least vulnerable, but extra vulnerableish to Direct hits and minor explosions when they come up.
