Does the book have any tables for the cost of buying droids? Or has anyone got any guidelines of what droids are worth?

Yes it does. I can't tell you the exact page but it is in the adversaries chapter, as a sidebar in the Droids section.

And I hope it's the next career book released!

I would hope they give us rules/costs for advancing abilities of npc-droids. My players want to upgrade their R2-Unit, but I don´t know how much it could cost

Good resource, though I'm loathe the pass it onto PC's in case it encourages droid-napping on a widespread scale
