Stuff of Nightmares

By Karnack, in Black Crusade Rules Questions

Hi guys my first posting here and was looking for some clarification on the Stuff of Nightmares rule.

The bit I'm looking for help with is the part where it mentions that the target ignores crit results other than ones that would destroy it out right (unless its psychic, force, daemonic etc etc).

What crit results would be considered destroyed outright, or is this something that is down to the GM for the most part to decide which ones count?

Crit results whereby they are destroyed outright are usually results on the critical damage tables on P249-255 (Usually at around -8 wounds depending on where you got hit and by what) whereby in the description it states words to the effect of "the target is dead" and where there is no test required to see if you die or remain horribly injured..

Example:

P249, Table 7-10, Energy Critical Effects (Leg)

If you look at 9, the player has to pass a test or die, this does not kill them outright and therefore under Stuff of Nightmares they are not affected by any of the penalties or risks and fight on as normal totally unscathed.

However the wording for 10 indicates "The target dies". There is no test it's simply a "you're dead" moment. If they hit this result, then it affects them and they die.
