I'm still not sure how I would array this list in formation, but I'm leaning toward putting the Y-wings on the outer edges while the X-wings stay in the centre. That way I can discourage flanking while still getting Garven and Dutch to focus/TL each other every turn until one of them blows up. Thoughts?

I have flown this exact list and though it is not "the list to end all lists," it was fun and can stand up in a fight.

Garven and Dutch are pals for sure!

I have had good sucess with a similar build:

Garvin

Dutch + Ion Cannon

Blue Squadron Pilot

Blue Squadron Pilot

slightly more total hit points at the loss of the second IC but ive never been a huge fan of IC so Im a little biased.

GL with whatever you choose, Dutch + Garvin is always a good starting point

Ooh, I'd try that with Tarn Mison (once he's out) instead of the Red. Same points, but fits nicely into the theme of target locks and focus everywhere.

I've flown this list with a Rookie instead of a Red, and used the spare points to buy R5 units for the Y-wings. It can be very, very effective.
