I've seen talk about Vader piloting other ships besides the TIE Advanced...is any pilot allowed to pilot any other ship? Or is there another Darth Vader somewhere? People talk about taking 2 damage to deal a crit, but my Vader only has the ability to perform 2 actions. Thanks!!

There are 2 Darth Vader cards. One is the pilot of a TIE Advanced x1. The other is a crew card.

The Darth Vader Pilot card comes with the TIE Advanced expansion pack.

The Darth Vader crew card comes in the Lambda shuttle expansion pack.

They are both unique, so you cannot use both in the same squad.

As of now there is only 1 is each pilot for a specific ship.

A pilot can only pilot a ship that he is designed for.

So therefore you can't have Luke fly a bwing.

As you know each ship had its own set of upgrades slots. Some ships like the Falcon for example are able to have crew in them.

There is a vader crew card (imperial only)

You cannot have 2 of the same name cards. For example you can't have vader pilot the tie advanced, and be a crew member in the shuttle at the same time.

Just an FYI, there is also a Luke and Chewbacca crew card (rebel only), so again you can't have Luke fly an X wing and also be in the Falcon as a crew at the same time

It would actually be kind of neat to have different versions of Unique Pilots for different ships.

Awesome, thanks for the clarification. I have the TIE Advanced, so that's where my confusion of the crew cards come from. Haven't gotten any of the large ships yet.

Word of advice, fly the Firespray before you fly the shuttle. Get used to how Large base ships move first, it's a huge difference (namely owning to the added base length to all your movements).

I should probably qualify that previous statement. If you have some bad matches flying big ships, they may turn you off to them for a significant amount of time. They are all awesome in their own way, and I would hate for some rookie maneuvering to dissuade a player from the truly interesting and unprecedented tactical choices these ships can provide.
