How does this card actually work?

Do I get to look at the other persons dial, then change mine accordingly? Or do I simply get to look at it a little early?

You simply get to look at the maneuver dial. The card does not say you can change your own afterwards.

But it does give you the benefit of knowing the ships future position when performing your action.

Paired with a Naviagator, it lets you look and change. Great on an Outer Rim Smuggler with Anti-Pursuit Lasers.

But on its own, you just get to look.
