I currently have 1 TIE Interceptor and 1 copy of Imperial Aces. I'd like to have a total of 5 or 6 TIE Interceptors. How would you recommend I finish out this set?

I have more interceptors than I know what to do with. If you want to pick them up on the cheap send me a PM. All in like-new condition, cards have all been sleeved.
I just got the aces, so in theory I can now field 5 except that the aces don't come with crappy pilots so I will likely proxy, or run four really nasty ones.

That's what I'm afraid of. The only way to get the cheap Alpha and Avenger is through the Wave 2 Expansion. So I'm trying to decide if I should buy 2-3 more expansions, or maybe 1 more Imperial Ace and an expansion.

4 Alphas and Carnor Jax (+ Elusiveness) would be a fun fleet.
Yes, Elusiveness usually isn't that good, but in a world without Focii, it's "Take a Stress Token for a 50/50 shot at a bonus Evade result".

Basically I would like the ability to have five squints on the table, however I agree that four nasty ones is probably better. So while the part of me that wanted max squintiness is a little annoyed, I think three regular and 1 aces set was still a great buy. I have two a-wings so I'm now up to four and that just reinforces the four squints of doom.

You have to find them available to buy first!
I would go with another aces and one Interceptor expansion, the Aces comes with more useful cards than the expansion could give (Hull, Shield, PTL, Opportunist vs. a maybe-usage of elusiveness).
The only downside, as noted before, are the lack of low-level cheap units. Not sure if you value fielding 5 low-end interceptors +10 points of upgrade over 4-higher end interceptors with around the same upgrades (eg. 4 Royal guards with PTL for each = 100pts).
The low-end interceptors for me, would be "filler", as in, if you have some points left over and enough to put in an interceptor (but typically I believe people would put in an academy Tie-fighter for 12 points? and use the spare points for more upgrades and modifications).
edit: Or you could go crazy like me, get 4 of each. boo yea! 12 Interceptors baby! and enough upgrade cards for whatever combination you want.

You can never have enough Interceptors, and second you are forgetting that with the cinematic game IE Capital ships and the like. You'll probably be fielding large squads or wings, so having those extra squints will come in handy.

Same for me, three flights of 4, a full squadron. Looking forward to the Epic Rules and the possibility of all 12 on the board at the same time.
I've got two Aces. I really want the standard Interceptor, but in the UK it's a mythical creature.
Just 4 squints in my bag. I'm happy with 4.
