Guesses on E-wing Dial?

By eagletsi111, in X-Wing

I'm thinking somewhere between X-wing and A-wing.

Here is what I have.

-- 1: FG, BW

-- 2: FG, BW, TW

-- 3: FG, BW, TR, K

-- 4: FG, K

-- 5: FW ( To match TIE Interceptor)

What do you guys think of that? My store is having a contest to guess what the Dial for the E-wing will be, 1 point for each right guess, and -.5 pts for each wrong guess, winner gets the stores first E-wing as a prize.

Pretty sweet eh!

I need to enter my guess tomorrow tonight!

Thanks

My hope.

1-5 forwrds. 1-3 forwards are green

1-3 banks. 2-3 bank are green.

1 turn and 3 turn.(but no 2 turn) White 3 Turn.

a 4 and 5 K-turn.

I would't be surprised that the 2 Turn would be green just the like the A-Wing, 5 Straight white (the E-Wing is supposed to have the same top speed as a Tie Interceptor). I would at the very least the E-Wing would have the same green banks as the XWing.

-Edit- woops completely forgot about the dial hints we already have. Please ignore the last sentence.

Nice! I will change my moves to add a 5W

Here is the latest:

I would remove the forward 1 white actually, if we are going to mimic the TIEdef's dial a little closer.

also maybe red hard turn 1?

Nice! I didn't even see that. Awesome!! That's 2 points for sure.

Thanks,

With all this I ask you where are the Reds, besides K turns. Perhaps a 2 Turn is red?

If you're thinking FFG went in a Defender-ey direction this looks pretty good, but the preview text says "...combines the best of the X-wing’s firepower and durability with the A-wing’s speed and maneuverability". If it's anything like either the X-wing or the A-wing, you'll have to find some more green.

I was thinking about that, but almost all the rebels have a 1 forward White. I really thinking about giving a red 2

Got it, Maybe a 2: BG too

Here's my guess:

2 Straight - Green

3 Straight - Green

4 Straight - White

5 Straight - White

4 K Turn - Red

5 K Turn - Red

1 Bank - White

2 Bank - Green

3 Bank - White

1 Turn - White

2 Turn - Green

3 Turn - White

Barrel Roll

Here's my guess:

2 Straight - Green

3 Straight - Green

4 Straight - White

5 Straight - White

4 K Turn - Red

5 K Turn - Red

1 Bank - White

2 Bank - Green

3 Bank - White

1 Turn - White

2 Turn - Green

3 Turn - White

Barrel Roll

So you think they will not give it a 1 forward either. Interesting!

Latest: Dropped 1 Forward Seems like everyone agrees!

I'm guessing it will be very similar to the TIE Fighter dial. Maneuverable, but with few green maneuvers. Only reds will be koiograns, which it will probably have two of.

A ship like this with a lot of green maneuvers would A) encroach too much on the A-wing's niche, and B) too easily support combinations with upgrades like push the limit or R2-D2 (with a natural shield value of 3 as well). FFG has always been rather conservative in their game design (see the TIE Defender dial) so a ship like that would not fit their style.

So now it's closer to the awing, but I mean really close. Not sure if FFG would give it the same basic dials with just a few changes.

I think we are looking along the lines of a sup'd up Advanced Dial, so maybe start with that and work onward.

I think we are looking along the lines of a sup'd up Advanced Dial, so maybe start with that and work onward.

After review that actually does makes sense. It has all the options, Barrel Roll, Lockon etc. .

So perhaps the following:

1: BW

2: FG, BG, TW

3: FG, BW, TW

4: FG, K

5: FW

Makes sense and matches what we know has been spoiled. Perhaps it's a simple as that

So here is I my latest update:

As stated above:

TIE Advanced dial, but all 1 B are White and 2 B are green (Since rebels seem to have more greens then empire)

1: BW (Spoiled in FFG Sales Page)

2: FG, BG, TW

3: FG, BW, TW (Spoiled in Original Release)

4: FG, K

5: FW

This seems very logical

I think it's going to look something like this:

I'll be really annoyed if it lacks a 1 forward. Really really annoyed.

Me too! But everyone thinks it will. after looking at it I see that as a weakness it may need.

You mean costing 27 Points minimum and dying to a single Direct Hit isn't enough? And not having Boost? I think it'll have plenty of weaknesses. I just want an agile ship that isn't required to be super fast. Like the B-wing flies, but without the reds. Fast movement isn't incredibly useful in this game.

I highly doubt that the Ewing would have a Green Hard Turn 2 though, given how it has access to the R2 astromech upgrade, and also FFG's recent clampdown against PTL
