I wonder if it'll be legal for Regionals. If FFG doesn't say otherwise, it will be, and that'll be a bit interesting to get a hold of it in time for May 3rd events.

Is there anything in the pack that isn't spoiled in http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_news.asp?eidn=4682 ? I've been preparing assuming Imp Aces but no Reb Xport, so this adds an interesting stressful twist on the meta.

I've been play testing a list with Wes Janson in it for 3 weeks now. I'm also going to be playing in an regionals on May 3rd. I'd be surprised if they don't update the ban list and prevent the expansion from being played. However I do feel it gives me a leg up having tested the build several times.

I think the standard for legality has typically been about two weeks. I'd be very surprised if the Transport is legal for anything on the 3rd.

Hmmm. Imperial Aces gets delayed for months, then the Rebel ship gets rushed to the distribution center.

or the aces stuff had an imperfection or crap glue on the wings or a mechanic that playtested poorly that was discovered too late...the factory probably got reemed for how long aces took or what happend so stuff coming out will probably be handled more carefully and on time, or possibly faster

Just talked to FFG. They are completely sold out of the first shipment. I really hope they get another shipment soon and not have to wait for a new reprint, I'm only getting half my order.

Sounds a bit like a repeat of the Imperial Aces. We will see how long before a restock happens. It was about a month before my store was able to get more Aces.

Wow, potentially huge news for the regional season--I'll send FFG an email about this and would encourage others to do the same, as it would be great to get visibility on whether it'll be legal sooner rather than later. Especially interesting because I'm not sure that we've even seen all the tournament legal upgrade cards yet?

I don't know what the question is. The new tournament rules states that stuff is legal once they are announced (ie posted on the website), unless otherwise specifically stated. Since the transport is not dropping in the middle of Regionals, I don't see it's contents being banned.

I don't know that there's a question, per se, just that we don't know if they're going to change how they handle it. Historically, there's been at least a few weeks before they whitelisted a new product for competitive play. How much of that was intentional delay, and how much of that was "We'll get around to updating the tournament document at some point" we're really not sure. It's entirely possible we'll see a release-day ban update, with it coming off at some point two weeks (or more) later.

If there is a regional on May 3rd, it might be interesting. I'd be very uncomfortable with saying that three days before the event doesn't introduce some potential issues with availability. I can't say if FFG agrees, but I'm far more concerned about equal availability for people in a given event than I am different events being played with different availability. Give it 2-3 weeks after release so everyone has an opportunity to get their hands on it, then make it legal.
