So by the new announcement in the news area the May 4th event from last year seems to have been dropped in favor of a Fire and Ice event. Don't get me wrong I am all for spreading the wealth of the gaming system, but the cash cow needs to wined and dined too.

I had dreams with the move to the new location and bigger/dedicated play area they would be running more events with the wow factor. Maybe they are just holding out for EPIC tourney when the new ships hit the streets.

FFG must feel like it needs to push Game of Thrones more this year. Last year, it felt like X-Wing (and the Star Wars LCG) needed that push.

Or, they are waiting to have their Star Wars weekend the same weekend as their Regional, which is June 14. Although, I do need to check when the LCG Regional is for FFG.

The SW LCG regional is May 3rd. That would have fit nicely into a Star Wars weekend!

Great. George R. R. Martin isn't satisfied with killing off our favorite characters, now he has to go and cancel competing events as well.

Fire and Ice?

Game of thrones, a song of fire and ice. Ffg has a card game based on thrones. Quite good one actually.

I would much prefer FFG making a game of Cyvasse for us, there's several people making custom versions but I'd rather have a professional game studio write the rules.
