I think I've got this one, but I just want to see what y'all think too.

A ship takes a Marksmanship action, then fires its HLC. Here's how I understand it:

1) First you change all crits to hits.

2) Then you change one of the focus results to a crit and the rest to hits

Is this correct, or would the potential crit from marksmanship be downgraded as well?

No no, you are correct.

To elaborate, the HLC effect takes place before dice modification.
