Escalation build

I really Like the idea of Escalation Tournaments, though after playing around in a squad builder I found this not so easy (especially the 60pt range) Here is what I came up with, please let me know what you think :)

60 Points (59 Total)

- Firespray 31 - Boba Fett - Engine Upgrade (43 Points)

- TIE Bomber - (16 Points)

I hate only having 2 ships on the field (3 would be nicer for 60 points) but the only way to really get a Firespray up is to do so on the initial build. I Chose the Bomber with it simply because these two should be hard to kill.

90 Points (89 Total)

The idea of staying alive maintains, Soontir Fel's job is to dance around and never be inside a fireing arc. At this point im not completely sold on useing him or another bomber for synergy sake, also I could place Push the Limit on Fett instead but I ultimately chose Fel simply to aid in him not being attacked. Note: Im banking on these tournaments running very few YT's do to just how expensive they are, another bonus to Fel.

I added the Cluster Missiles to the TIE bomber to go along with Captain Jonus, the seismic Charges I am hoping will help against the extreme end Swarms I may encounter, but that remains to be seen.

Added and Strengthened the Bombers.

Im still fairly new to this game, and have not played many tournaments or games outside of my group of friends that also play, so any and all advice is welcome!

My Personal Thoughts,

Perhaps rather then Fel, I add another bomber and start outfitting the missiles earlier? Or perhaps even Major Rhynor so I can use the cluster Missiles at range 3. Also It will likelly be 1 Cluster, 1 Concussion per bomber without Rhynor but that is not 100%

Until the Headhunters and Chardaan Refit are released, this format seems a little awkward for Rebel squadbuilding. After the intial round, you're locked into getting only 1 new ship for every 30 point step, so you end up spending more on upgrades and pilot abilities than you probably ought to. Still, it's a pretty fun challenge. Here's what I came up with:

I think I would have been happier with the format overall if the squad building were kind of flipped on its head. What I mean is make your 150 pt. squad first. Then be allowed to take any subset from that squad that fits into each of the lower point limits.

I genuinely hope to see more escalation tournaments being run. I love the idea.

I fought a named interceptor list in round 1, tie-bomber alpha strike list in round 2, a mixed imperial list (Vader, Capt Yorr, Carnor Jax, Capt Jonus) in round 3, and a rebel build with ion cannon turrets (Y's an Hwk) in round 4. Managed to use asteroids to break up formations and sequence attackers into the full firepower of the B's.
