Do the empire have any ion weapons or ion turret? Sorry for the very basic beginner question. I like using the ion to control the board but I like interceptors way better then A-wings.

Yes; both the Firespray and Lambda shuttle can equip Ion Cannons.
[EDIT: The TIE Defender, coming in Wave 4, will also be able to equip an Ion Cannon.
Additionally, the Wave 4 previews have told us we're getting an Ion Pulse Missile. The Firespray, TIE Bomber, TIE Advanced, and TIE Defender will be able to use that missile to get the same kind of control, although it will be a one-time effect.]
