So, Amazon UK has a release date of 28/05/2014 for the Wave 4 ships ..... Have mine on pre-order. Hope to be playing with Wave 4 by Whitsun (a UK public holiday).
Still nothing on the Rebel Transport though.

I was told earlier in the week, by my lgs owner, possibly 18th May.while I won't take this as gospel, he was right on the money with the Aces release date, so fingers crossed!!!

Well...wave four is listed as "at the printer," and usually they take a good eight weeks to get over the ocean...the 28th seems really early. Especially with Imdaar Alpha starting on the 30th.

Yeah 8 weeks by ship plus customs and distribution, we won't be seeing them that early.
The date lists on amazon are not accurate usually. Imperial aces date was changed at least 4 times in the span of just a couple of months. The company that lists that doesn't really known what day they will arrive.
Imdaar Alpha is at the end of May, and FFG will certainly want to have Wave 4 available by GenCon in mid-August, so I think those are the logical boundaries for the release: sometime between June 1 and September 1.
28th seems a bit optimistic for us (UK) to get them.
I don't think that is accurate; Imdaar is end of may/early june in bits of the UK. Even if the ships were released one week after the event (unlikely given the similar Kessel event, but not impossible!) we are still looking at early-mid june at the earliest!
Still, I shan't complain if this is the case!
Having witnessed FFG's typical release schedules and poor expectation management, I'm going for:
20th May - Transport Away!
Mid June - CR-90 Released!
End of July - Wave 4 Released!
August - Rebel Aces!
Xmas/ early 2015 - Imperial Huge Ships!
So many explanation marks for such an utter lack of facts.
Yeah as much as I would like them to arrive that soon I am expecting July at the earliest for wave 4. I'm hoping that the transports will get to us by the end of May

I would I imagine that Amazon is basing it's dates on someone's, albeit probably inaccurate, estimated delivery date. Outside of X-Wing, I find Amazon's dates to be fairly trustworthy for games and DVDs.
And no, I don't work for them.
They can get the release dates for items that have published release dates fairly accurately. However, FFG does not publish release dates other than the status on the Upcoming page on this website. So if you watch that, you have as good idea, or better, than any retailer in the UK.
Once it gets close, Esdevium Games is the sole distributor for FFG in the UK, and they will add it to their release sheet that is distributed to the general public on a Friday.
There, you now have more information than anyone at Amazon about FFG release dates.

Perhaps if I pop in and ask nicely they'll give an idea of the distribution date. Or they'll just tell me to sod off - but no harm in asking.
Q2 ends June 30. Expecting them prior to that is wishful thinking.
