I think Nurgle will be based on making oponent discard cards, from hand or deck, and that will make plague squad fat fast

Awesome art on the card. :)

Really looking forward to this game.

it isn't.

While we are not 100% on how the costing charts will look in this game,he looks expensive to me in relation to cards already spoiled. It is a late game card, as in its power is based on what is in the yard and it is what is in his yard. If your killing all his units how much more power do you need? Your already ahead. It could be a win condition but late game, you've been killing his units anyway the power of the card vs the cost is not needed. You are usually better off playing smaller cheaper cards in these situations. The basic question here is, is his effect relevant at the late stage of the game when he is in fact active.

It's definitely not a winmore card. Four resource also looks to be fairly midrangey, so I'm not sure calling it a "late game card" is entirely appropriate. Black Legion Heldrake , on the other hand, would clearly be a late game wincon for Chaos.

Hmm, I hope they don't go that route. Random and targeted discard is fine, but opponent's choice is seldom viable, and milling has never been popular outside of the most casual of circles. Discard also appears to be the bailiwick of the Dark Eldar. Perhaps it'll be more of a sacrifice oriented theme.

well the "late game idea" has nothing to do with the cost, it is because of it keying off the cards in the discard pile, for the effect to be relevant the discard needs to have things units in it. These are also units in your opponents discard so for the card to function your deck needs to completely function with out the plague marine. You deck needs to win combats, do DD and everything already, before you even play the plague marine guy.

Now granted we are not sure about how resources amounts are valued, but just based on the cards we have seen it is pretty expensive.

Do you know Toq if FFG is going to post sth tomorrow?

Not sure if it is today or tomorrow. We got our spoiler from them yesterday.

Thanks :)

It's up now.

Toq, please tell me you're going to title Episode 6 "Season of the Wych" for the Dark Eldar previews, LOL!

Now I have to use that. Works well.

and here is the spoiler card

A strong unit for DE and another sexy goth chick to round out (see what I did there?) the Dark Eldar character suite. Combining this with some Mobile units and rout abilities will make serious headaches for your opponent. The DE may not hit that hard, but what they do hit you with is PAIN! And this fits perfectly with the theme on the other cards for this faction we've seen so far.

I wonder who will be their natural foil?

Two command icons and a strong disincentive for your opponent to deploy units near her seems like a guaranteed way to win yourself an early planet, considering that she only costs 3 resource.

does she exhaust ambush too?

does she exhaust ambush too?

Yes, all that Ambush does is allow you to deploy a unit during the combat phase.

This card looks great I cant wait for the Tau the rule books and all the spoilers from Gen Con

Is the sound on these getting better I tried to listen to number 1 and I can't hear the other guy ( from across the pond ) is this going to improve in the future?

And when are you going to show the spoiler

Sound has changed a lot since that episode. Spoiler will be posted to the forums tomorrow.

I really appreciated the lore bit on the Eldar; they're one of the races I know the least about so your stuff was very insightful.

Spoiler for the Tau!

Yay gun drones! Handing AoE to a ranged unit (like that rail gun sniper, hopefully) seems like a strong play!
