I don't like XXBB in general, it just feels rude. You should run the ps6 champs and put a saboteur on Yorr or a targeting computer on one of the squints (unless you're trying to default initiative).

For a tourney, I would say stick with what you know and something you will have fun flying with. It can get a little busy and stressful during a tourney, so if you are also trying to learn how your own squad works together, you may have problems.
