Even with all these new spangly attacks...

I appreciate you addressing the topic, because truly, you're spot-on: there ARE PLENTY of options, most definitely.

But nobody's denying that there ARE options; were doubting how viable they are in reality.

You mentioned Vibrato, which I gotta say, that card's just getting a little TOO much hype. Anyways, you failed to mention Vibrato requires to attacks preceding it.

For example, a good way to utilize Feline would be to attack them 1 to 3 times to try to bait blocks, then clear the card pool and Spike it up ftw. Vibrato wouldn't work this way because you need those attacks to stay in the card pool. It's not as versatile of an attack as Feline, and its damage output isn't that of Feline's.

Again, I'm not disagreeing, I'm just saying that while we HAVE options, just how many of them are actually good in practice, and not just in theory?

I'm a huge Zi Mei fan, and those Execution attacks were exactly the kinds of attacks I was expecting from Zi Mei. However, I'm not too entirely sure I'd run them, especially since, after a look through, we have not that many 5 difficulty high weapon attacks (well, at least to combo the three rites with properly).

Besides, it always depends on your deck. Right now, I'm almost adamant in saying any solo-symbol Air, Good, and Water deck SHOULD be running Feline. There's virtually no excuse not to. It's just so reliable.

I've always been in love with 1-checks. From Spiral Dominance *Mai* to Go Shoryuken **Ukyo** to Messatsu-Gorasen **Mai** (all three of which had a win-loss of ratio of probly 4-1), I'm no stranger to how they work. A 1 check has to justify its crappy check.

Feline just pisses people off, and to be honest, I actually wasn't even that opposed to CSS...

Wait what?

Dont you mean that you need to discard those cards from the card pool for vibrato to work?

Besides all you need to do is give vibrato like +6 damage and it equals the output of a spike without the one check thats why its getting so much hype because it deserves it

No, it does not. The requirement to discard two cards is situational to some decks, whereas Spike can be put pretty much anywhere you want it.

Exactly. Certainly attacks like Vibrato and Midnight Launcher aren't horrible, not at all! However, their use can be limited as you need attacks to play them, whereas Spike can be played for so long as you pass its check.

Also, +6 is easier said than done. Air and Life aren't exactly the beefiest symbols around.

Midnight Launcher is too sexy to even grace this topic by it's mention.

Oh wait.
