Stable:

My most explored stable location is the General Store. I find it the most reliable place for a weapon-less investigator to buy a weapon.

Unstable:

Considering every location has 1 clue on it, the location I would most rather go to is the Historical Society. Some good encounter there and the chances of gates/monster appearing is slim to none. Two rare exceptions though: If I have a Lodge Membership, I would rather go to the Inner Sanctum, and if I have a 1000 Membership I would rather go to Woods/Unvisited Isle/Black Cave and have a Cult Encounter (I LOVE Cult Encounters).

Stable: Harney Jones' Shack, I'd guess. There always seems to be something good there.

Unstable: The Unnameable. Not for any real reason, though the encounters usually are pretty easy.

The one time I went to Harney's Shack he died and his shack was closed for the rest of the game

My favourite Unstable has to be the Science Building, because several encounters involve throwing a big contact switch and having something bonkers happen.

Well the Bank has an encounter that unless you convice Arkham to stay in town, they all withdraw their money and leave and the Bank is closed for the rest of the game.

By "most explored", do you mean the Location where I have drawn the most Encounter cards, or the Location I just visit the most?

Unstable: Probably the Woods.

Stable: our most visited Location is the General Store: it's centrally located so it's a good place to duck into--it's also one end of our "405" (the "freeway" that takes you from Rivertown to Downtown without going through Easttown)--but we rarely draw an Encounter there...we just shop. The stable Location that gets the most drawn Encounters is the Newspaper.
