Episode 28 of the Order 66 Podcast is UP! Andy Fischer Discusses Enter the Unknown...

By GM Chris, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

What is up, GamerNation? This epic episode of the Order 66 Podcast welcomes special co-host GM Phil, and special guest, Andy Fischer – Lead Developer for Fantasy Flight Games! Andy joins us for an in-depth look at the Enter the Unknown Sourcebook.

Cheers Chris, not listening to it as I type.

Very much appreciate the timestamps!

Very much appreciate the timestamps!

Yes! Of course now that's the expectation, going forward :)

There has been a devoted listener on the d20Radio boards that has been doing this for all past episodes. The semi-official episode index can be found here. http://d20radio.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=125987#p125987

Granted, when a new episode is released, it will take a few days for AustinKatan to index it.

It was fun listening to it live for the first time, and being involved in the live chat. (Not) Listening to the podcast after the fact also helps me pick up stuff that either missed in conversation, or didn't hear because I was putting my daughter to bed. Kudos to GM Chris and GM Phil for their work, and of course, to Andy Fischer for giving an insider view on how the book came together. I especially liked the bit of how the artwork was constructed to put together a story incorporating most of the Explorer specializations throughout the work.

You were an amazing live listener, by the way. Your chat comments were quite insightful and (as listeners can note) added to the show. :)

Thank you!

Yeah - we actually have a listener that does this. He even got mock-pouty with me when I went ahead and indexed it. LOL... It will certainly be my goal, folks.

You asked for time-stamps at release, and if I can do it, I shall. (Or I may just rely on AustinKatan's awesomeness and post up the timestamps in the thread a day later. ^_^ )

That was a good listen, though I wish I didn't missed the live stream (asleep, working 12hrs a day Tues-Sun kinda wears me out) as it sounded like the chat was good too. The Dathomir skit was pretty good and got a chuckle with "..where you'll be hunting RANCOR!" "MMMMRRPH!" Was the sales rep trying to set this trip up for the Pyro from TF2? :D

And thanks for fielding my question as to the fate of the UPS truck (the Explorer-class ship.)

Thanks for getting me an answer to the Toydarian falling question I've had. I have a soft spot for those guys.

Now if we cant get Jawas and Dugs I'll be satisfied.

Very much appreciate the timestamps!

Why? Do you listen to the Order 66 podcast?

I didn't expect to get called out like that, but I'm glad that you found it helpful, I just enjoyed being part of echo base while you guys were chatting it up. Now to go watch Cap2 so I can listen to the rest of the post show ;)

No one ever listens. ;)

No... We just hear by osmosis...

Yes, I'm well aware of the joke. But it's beyond stale and I don't need to participate.

There... Cap2 seen. Now I can listen to the post-show...

I really enjoyed not listening yet again, but I have to say that this episode fellt a bit "johnny come lately" considering how we have have seen a lot more releases after EtU. Then again I can appreciate you guys not having a lot of time what with the con and all and it was a fun show again all the same.

My suggestion, again on this form, do a "isn't that special" about the scholar. There is a thread somewhere on these boards about the "learned" type that showed so much dislike and misunderstanding about it that I think people would really benefit from you tackeling that subject!

Yep, I stopped right when they warned about the spoilers!

It TOTALLY was. Episode's been on the books since the release of Enter the Unknown - but life has just gotten in the way! (And schedules.)

However - as you'll see shortly - we're ramping up FAST with the newest books. Look for the thread for Q&A for Sam Steward in a few weeks' time to discuss Suns of Fortune!

Looking forward to that!

SoF is my favorite so far (love me some space weasels), I'll have to listen to this one live if I can manage it.

They always struck me more as space otters than space weasels, but I suppose that's a matter for imaginary zoological semantics, really. :)

+1 for a isn't that special on the scholar

I thought they were space otters. :P Either way, some of the art with them hits uncanny valley for me, particularlly the one on pg.88
