Central Canada regionals, May 16th at Keycon in Winnipeg.

By Church7, in UFS Fan Announcements

Do you like UFS?

Do you like conventions?

Do you like adorable puppies?

If you said yes to any of the above questions, you should strongly consider dropping by our regional event this year at Keycon.

It will be held at the Radisson hotel at 288 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg Manitoba. in the Portage room on the 11th floor. I shall now insert the obligatory link to the event's website. keycon.org/index.php

Registration will be open from 12pm - 1pm on satuday, with the event following from 1pm - 6pm, and diversity will definitely be in effect for the top 8, just because I don't want to see 4 defender loops, 2 ivys, an ibuki, and a partridge in a pair tree.

The only cost is the cost for the Keycon event itself, the oofus gaming is free, so don't worry there.

As for Keycon's price, it's $50 at the door for the weekend, $40 in advance, and $30 for just saturday for those who'd like to just show up from out of town, annihilate us locals with your skill, gawk at us and leave.

For additional UFSage, there will be a 24/7 running during the entire Keycon event, info right here: www.teamcanadaonline.net/index.php/topic,6200.0.html

There is also to be a 6X10 event for the Friday, which is legacy to help build the best decks. (6X10 is where your deck must have exactly 10 of each number of check, including character.) Also, the 24/7 is officially legacy as well.

There is also to be a commonground tournament on the Sunday.

Thought I'd bump this, since it is pretty much upon us.

4 members from Calgary will be there, but not for Highlander Friday night.

We will obviously be playing main event Saturday and enjoying the con when not playing UFS.

We haven't decided on plans for Sunday, but common ground is always fun. I trust the common ground would be block 3 common ground?

Thank you in advance,

- dut

6x10 is Friday Night, not Highlander - just to be clear on that one.

Yep. Block 3 common ground. Really... I just prefer to call it standard.

The only reason why we're going legacy on 6x10 is because going standard for 6x10 is Standard only has 6 - 1 checks in the environment currently, most of those are Ultra Rare, and there are insufficient cards to make 6x10 viable.

Hardcore 24/7 is legacy because there are a number of inactive UFS players at Keycon who *would* play, but they haven't been able to keep up buying recently. So much of their collections have rotated out. By opening it up to legacy, for a fun event, we get more people playing. More people = gooder.

Speaking of Block 3 - I will be bringing my "chaff" Commons and some extra block 3 characters.

I encourage anyone else with far too many commons/uncommons to do the same, because that way we can build some chaff decks for new players, and use the Common Ground event to help teach some folks, and get them into the game.

Aw, I JUST came on here to bump for tomorrow, jerks.
