Beyond the Rim - enough setting info?

By the-hypnotoad, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I have heard some folks say that the Jewel of Yavin module can sort of double as a Bespin setting sourcebook. For people that have BtR, I was wondering how much setting info there is for the Wheel, Raxus and Cholganna. Is it bare-bones with just the areas where the action is described a bit or is it more fleshed-out? I'm sure a GM could build it out however they liked but I was just curious how much of a kernel there there is to start with. Thanks!

I wouldn't use BtR for that. However neither would I use JoY as a Bespin sourcebook, it just isn't.

Both are amazing adventures (I played the first and read the latter) and couldbe very valuable for GM's even without running them straight, however they are not complete sourcebooks like, for instance, Suns of Fortune is.

There's enough in both to wing it if that's comfortable for you, but as DanteRotterdam states, they're not quite at the level of Suns of Fortune - but that's not the point. I personally use both for source material but I'm happy to make them my own and build from there.
