Double campaign Ideas

Hey Everyone I had this really sweet campaign idea that me and my friend have pimped up We are going to run 2 campaigns that are in the same timeline as the other basically the players make 2 characters one for each campaign

for my campaign the first mission is basically a modified version of shattered hope where the PCs find out about a cult 'the brotherhood of malice' (yes i know i coppied and i kind of changed the story to shattered hope a bit to make it work) once the PCs are finished the mission thier inquisitor calls them on whatever the people call eachother in 40k and sends them on a mission to another mining world the PCs tell him about The Brotherhood and he reaserches about the cult while the PCs are on thier 2nd mission the objective of the 2nd mission is to kill the so called 'Plauged One' once they have completed that mission their inquisitor gives them a choice of missions to do ranging from exploring a farming community to asses wether the brotherhood has spread there to taking out a fortress of the brotherhood once the PCs have donne enough missions their inquisitor sends them on a mission to take out what he calls 'One of the MALICE'S 15' this is basically hunting out a cult leader and killing him. once the pcs have done this they get another bunch of missions to do once they finish these there back off to sepheris secundus(the planet where shattered hope is) to root out another heresy started by the brotherhood in the mines.once they finish this they have a choice of missions to do(surpise surprise) again for the last time their inquisitor sends them on a mission to take out a inquisitor and his acolytes who have joined the brotherhood(this is the really kick ass twist in the campaign)

My friends Campaign i dont know the structure but at the end thier inquisitor puts a explosive coller on them and gives them the choice to join him in the brotherhood of malice or die(im hoping that the PCs join but these acolytes are the ones that u kill in my camaign so basically the players have to kill thier own characters)

I like the idea of your double campaign. Maybe starting each of the two characters in opposite sides of the Calixis Sector. I would go as far as to make them extreme opposites in personality and structure. On one hand you could have a Void Born Scum who has made a dark pact with a minor daemon to play out part of his dark side and on the other come up with an Imperial Arbitrator that despises chaos, xenos, mutants and seekers of forbidden science. The only problem I see is if they should meet. I tried to role play two simultaneous characters at my local tabletop for another rpg and while it was fun and possible it was like I was talking to myself. If you are going with two characters in a simultaneous campaign then I wouldnt have them meet till the campaign is over. But again this is my opinion and just that. Run with what makes you feel comfortable. I like the idea of a double campain. I belong to an online site where we are trying to start a living and breathing world. Not a fresh new rpg but a world where the character can move about the world on his/her own and suffer no penalties. Its would be pretty much freeform and allow the freedom to explore.
