The Attack Wing forum attempts to ninja into Star Wars!

Bing gives me a lot of nonsense when I translate, but if I understand you correctly you want a 1:350 scale Klingon Bird of Prey model.

Fortunately, the AMT/Ertl (Round 2) model kit is 1:350 scale, if you consider the B'Rel to be about 140 meters long. It seems to fit well with 1:350 scale figurines made by Tamiya.

Translator didn't work as well as I'd hoped. Translated back as gibberish.

My friend plans on getting a 1/350 scale Bird of Prey and a Haynes Manuel so that he can put together a B'rel class BoP for EotE RPG.

My question was how might a big ship bird of prey be able to work in X-Wing?

Just in case anyone, like me, doesn't speak Klingon. Got to get a Klingon Dictionary and finally seal my fate as a geek.

I'd simply use the same setup as the CR-90. Put the ship on two large bases connected by a cardboard piece, then come up with a maneuver dial. It's a pretty fast and maneuverable ship for a capship, so its maneuver dial should reflect that.

So here is what I know about the Birdy (not the finger the ship):

Wings at side when moving at speed. Possibly meaning it will need two movement dials. One for "wings up" and the other for "wings down". With the "wings up" giving more green arrows.

Millennium Falsehood just posted so I will agree that even with "wings down" the movement dial will still reflect speed and maneuverability.

It has a cloaking device, though I suspect that it might be better than the Tie Phantom.

Two wing laser cannons and torpedoes. I'm thinking the lasers should be similar to those of the Tantive IV. Torpedoes could be either Proton or Advanced Protons.

Being the smaller B'rel class, I've seen it sized at 160 meters and 110 meters. Meaning it could be a bit longer than a Tantive IV or a bit shorter. It can have a crew of between 12 and 36, and those can be represented by some of the Crew cards.

Mixing universes is an interesting concept. Klingon disruptors and photon torpedoes have considerably longer ranges than the starfighters we've got here. It would have to be using a range 5 ruler at least and the photons would have to be closer to advanced proton torps than regular proton torps.

As for the wings, they're up for landing, horizontal for cruising at impulse or warp, and down for combat so only one dial would be sufficient. It would also help keep things easy to play.

Scale wise, at 1/350 it should be around 6" long with a wingspan of about 10" which is quite workable.

I wonder if anyone here gets that quote??

Bird is the word.

Uh... I thought we were talking about Star Trek on a Star Wars miniature's game forum... But now we're making Transformers references on a Star Trek thread on a Star Wars miniature game's forum... Wow, how the mighty have fallen.

Now all we need is TMNT and my childhood will be complete!

Michael Bay is giving us the Turtles in July, if you can stomach his movies.

I just had to swallow some barf right there, stings my nose.

Only TMNT there was, was Eastman and Laird. Whoa wait, is this like a social experiment where we're doing a 6 degrees of nerdism kinda thing? Never mind, this is awesome, where are we going next... M.A.S.K.?

Osoroshii, you must know me in real life. I love Robotech and loath Leonardo Dicaprio. Roy Folker is turning in his grave on SDF-1. Star Trek-Transformers-TMNT-Robotech-??? We're almost there, someone bring it home.

To Cowboy Bebop, almost there...

Frell, this is turning into a load of felgarcarb.

Humming the awesome theme to Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors.

So what do we have so far:

Klingon Bird of Prey in a Star Wars game.

Supported by or crewed by Transformers?

I'd say supported by Transformers, such as Optimus with his jet pack and the Transformer space ships.

Crewed by....Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Will need crew cards for each of the Turtles. It's been a long time so can't remember the names of the Rat or the woman but perhaps have crew cards for them. The only turtle I remember is Raphael, who I think had the two daggers. Leonardo was another.
