For example . When making a list I should always use at least 3 ships. Or

When making a list you should always use marksmanship with han solo.

Feel free to cover any basics.this might seem like common sense to veterans, but sometimes new people are just looking for some basic Quick tactics, without having to search 5 different forums

Sorry couldn't resist. I'm not a competitive player really so I always build lists I think I my friends will have as much fun playing against as I do playing them. That's what I always remember.

It depends what you're trying to do, as to what you should always do.

If you want to have fun, and don't care about winning or losing (my typical mantra) is just build whatever you want. Four low skill ships, or three named ships. Whatever. Go nuts.

If you want to win as much as possible, play the meta of BBXX or a 7-fighter TIE swarm right now. Granted the tournament meta will change as the new packs hit the shelves.

I tend to go for three ships myself and usually named ones, and do fun combinations. Sometimes, I even win with them.
