GM Looking for players
Do you mean, play by post? In that case I'm interested as a player.
No, I use Roll20 and we have a Skype connection, so we can hear each other
Sorry
Out of curiosity,
Which timezone(s)?
Em, Any really, but for convenience, Europe, however I will work out the perfect time for everyone
I'm interested. I'm CST USA, and I have a family and career, so my time is very constricted. I've played around with roll20 and it looks awesome, though I haven't gotten into it very much yet. Heck, I'd play just to learn more about that.
I'll check back and see what times you come up with. What's your GMT?
GMT + 4:00
We seem to be having a lot of USA players, so I think we will be fine with time
Say, do you have any space left in your game? UTC -7 US Mountains
GMT+4? Where are you? In Siberia?
I'd be very interested, but my timezone of GMT+7/8 (Shanghai, China doesnt do daylight savings...) is probably prohibitive.
Edited by CailGMT+4? Where are you? In Siberia?
As a Matter of fact, yes, I'm Russian and I live in Siberia
Say, do you have any space left in your game? UTC -7 US Mountains
There are three places left
I'd be very interested, but my timezone of GMT+7/8 (Shanghai, China doesnt do daylight savings...) is probably prohibitive.
I don't think we can work around that one, My apologies
Update, 2 places left
UTC -7, interested. If you have any interest in seeing a bunch of houserules that I have developed, PM me. Actually, would you mind just PMing me the Roll20 game link, if there is still a slot?
All Places are now taken
This is one of the things I really like about FFG's RPGs, their character builds. I'm going to play a Salamander Apothecary. That wouldn't have been in my top 3 picks, but I'm really looking forward to it. It's quite a nifty character, now that I've drawn it up, and I feel I will bring a lot to a kill team with this character.
And I am a stealth specialist- a Black Shield Devastator who tends to emphasize stealth and reconnaissance above all else. Shock and awe or frontal assault aren't his gig, which makes him a very odd Devastator indeed, I think.
I'm eager to work with a Salamander. They are my second favorite codex chapter, right behind the Raven Guard, because I've always been impressed by both their tech-savvy and their relative humanity.
You and I think somewhat alike, Annaamarth. My first pick would have been a Raven Guard Assault Marine. My second would probably have been Raven Guard Devastator. My third pick would probably have been Raven Guard Librarian. Yeah, I really like the Raven Guard.
I like the Salamanders for exactly the same reasons you mentioned.
We already had someone that wanted to go Assault Marine and I decided to wait and see what our team needed. I reckoned that an Apothecary would fill our greatest needs, given what others wanted to play. We might still be short on long-range firepower, though. I guess that depends on how our Librarian come kitted out.
Raven Guard <cough>, I mean, Black Shield Devastator
Red Scorpions Assault Marine
Salamander Apothecary
<Unknown chapter still> Librarian
I can see some really disturbing character conflicts in our future. We will no doubt often need the services of Interrogator-Chaplain Gordei. At least our Librarian won't be a Black Templar.
That's... true. Our librarian will not be Black Templar, and that's probably better for all concerned. I'll have enough trouble with Codex McAnal the Red Scorpion.
I can neither confirm nor deny that my Black Shield is/was from the Raven Guard or a Raven Guard successor chapter.
I wouldn't mind seeing a Dark Angels Librarian, IIRC they're well suited to ranged combat. And he'll probably have a plasma weapon. If it's Ultramarines, I shall be... Harrumph. Annoyed.
You got me laughing on that post...Codex McAnal indeed. And, if the Libby is an Ultra they'll be quoting scripture to your character until he bursts.
Your character will be pegged as Raven Guard, so I hope he's not. That will keep it interesting.
My character will have his own problems with McAnal as he'll ignore collateral damage in favor of Cleanse and Purify certainty.
The Salamander will ignore collateral damage, or the McAnal will? Most chapters are more than willing to sacrifice a hive if it means they can save two- or even just a bigger one. Salamanders are usually one of those who actually try to save lives, rather than just objectives.
Right. I guess I wasn't clear. The Red Scorpion player already suggested he was willing to sacrifice the Emperor's subjects in order to root out the last speck of heresy, while the Salamander would take another tack.
Suspected from context, but wanted to be clear. I aspire to absolute clarity.
This may have resulted in some issues in my life.
I aspire to wisdom.
And you think you've had issues.
... There is no possible way I can respond to this without this turning into some kind of philosophic rap battle.
And I'm terrible at rapping.
