So May may actually hold true?
Rebel Transport: On the boat
It would be a pleasant surprise if it did make it within may
I thought 4-6 weeks from "On the Boat" to shipping, so maybe... if you're good... and stop fiddling with yourself at night.

4 to 6 weeks on the boat and 7-10 days from then until it gets to retailers, so end of May isn't out of the the question. The soonest it could get here, assuming it was put on the boat today, would be around Mid May.
Edited by VanorDMIt'll be in the first stores June 13th. Mark this post down... I'm calling it right here, right now.

That would mean an almost 2 week delay somewhere. Which of course is possible...
But soonest we could expect it is mid May, but the longest it should take based on what FFG has posted it should be in stores by end of May.
Although for me, it doesn't matter much, I plan on getting both the Transport and CR-90 from MM at the same time to save on shipping, so I won't be getting it until the CR-90 comes out.
Edited by VanorDMThis is awesome. Totally expect these in early June. Nice job FFG.
the snarky responses are:
May...2015
My birthday...in SEPTEMBER!
and
What kind of boat is it?
What kind of boat is it?
Either of these:

Six weeks from today on the boat and getting through customs, plus two weeks to get through distribution channels, plus a day because things often come out on Friday, and I'll guess we get the Rebel Transport in most stores on June 6. That'll only be about four months behind the original estimated release month of February, as stated in Game Trader magazine last fall...
What kind of boat is it?
Either of these:
"It's Worse."
I just hope that ship comes in before the dock rots.
The Transport is shrouded in such mystery.
Oh good, only six weeks of "is it here yet?" and joke threads. I can hardly wait.
I hope it's here by May. Already got mine paid off at the FLGS near where I go to college, and I'd like to get it before summer.

Followed by "When will Transport be tournament legal" threads.
Yes. As the TO of a Regional on June 28th I am certainly looking forward to having to police lists to make sure none of the squads have any ships or upgrades from the Rebel Transport. #firstworldproblems
Edited by ManOnAWireIf been wondering for a bit, but why can't they just make items tournament legal on release day? It seems a bit silly that you legally buy items for a game, but aren't allowed to legally play them on the game's tournaments.

Because they are being considerate to all players. By delaying making them tournament legal. They are giving everyone a chance to actually see the new cards in play. Instead of just letting someone get blindsided at a tournament.

And yet at the same time it's rather inconsiderate to the players who went to buy the ships and cards on release day. As well as making things more of a headache for the tournament organisers. Not to mention it also prevents cards designed to fix flaws that popped up over the course of the game's life from actually doing what they were designed to do.
Bleh, don't really like it. *grumble grumble grumble*

You can still buy them on release day, you just can't have an unfair advantage in a tournament. This is not a new phenomenon in the gaming world.
Well, it's partially about fairness in access, but probably more about having a little time out on the market to develop a FAQ on the new cards so someone doesn't run the table with some unforeseen exploit. That's the truer fairness bit.
Disallowing them in events immediately, allows players who don't follow every spoiler a chance to learn the rules prior to having to face them in a tournament environment. It also reduces the likelihood of a player getting away with cheating (intentionally or unintentionally) because they aren't familiar with a new set of rules.
Also gives players a chance to get the items, like me where my two copies of Imperial Aces still haven't shipped from the place that I preordered due to lack of stock.
Yay its on the boat. Can't wait for it.
Indeed, not changing up the meta right in the middle of the tournament season is an established pattern at this point.
I can't believe we're two pages into this thread and no one has said, "The first transport is away!"
