Hey all. I'm wondering if anyone has or knows of a soundboard or something that would allow me to click a button and make a blaster fire sound or a TIE scream or a speeder bike engine. For me, Star Wars has always been about visual and audio stimulation. The movies, video games, and comic books have always drawn me deep into the Star Wars universe, whereas the novels have left me feeling empty. I think Star Wars is more of a "shown" thing for me. As such, I've been having difficulty creating the Star Wars feel for my games that I want. I play the soundtracks every game, but that only goes so far. I would love to be able to produce various blaster sounds to fill a fight with that Star Wars atmosphere. I've looked at soundboards online, but all I have found usually is a collection of quotes from the movies and other unusable material.

Does anyone know of any resources that are just sound effects? That can be called on command in any situation? Would sharing that here be a violation of IP?

If that fails, there's a great book called The Sounds of Star Wars that not only is a beautiful book, but it plays all the sounds as well.

One of my players had found some for android the last time we played. I think they were called 'Chewbacca says...', 'C-3P0 says...', 'Princess Leia says...' etc. And there was a good general one just called 'Star Wars Soundboard' that had lots of good sounds including 'hyperdrive failure' which cracked everyone up when played at the appropriate time in our game.

I couldn't find any good ones for iOS though. If you can use a laptop the official one MrDodger linked above is really good.

The above linked official soundboard is great, but it doesn't work on any mobile devices, which is annoying for GM'ing.

I have one for Android called 'Star Wars Machines' - that has lightsaber, blaster effects, ground and space vehicles, etc.

It could use some more for sure, but for a free app it always gets my players laughing when I use it.

Any chance of one for droid sound effects? I might be saddling providing my players with an astromech soon, and I figured the noises might help.

I got that book as a white elephant last x-mas. Was awesome, I opened it up and there's a pic of Ben Burt recording sounds right down the road from my office.
