I posted on this subject back when EotE first came out, but with the release of Jewel of Yavin I wanted to bring it up again. I had really hoped by now FFG would have done something about the font in their books.

I am trying to prepare JoY for my group, and between the font size and color I literally cannot read more then half a page before I have trouble reading the book. They use this thin font that is just terrible for many of us with a visual disability. I'm considered legally blind, but can normally still read books. The EotE books are the first set I've run across that cause me real problems. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to get through JoY. The eyestrain and headaches are to much.

If they could please just use a slightly bolder font it would make their books so much easier for me to use. JoY seems to make it worse by incorporating some weird color into the text. I think it's reddish, but I"m not sure as I"m also a bit color blind.

I still hold out hope that future books can be rendered in a bolder font. Please FFG take some pity on those of us who don't see so well.

I have trouble with white print on dark backgrounds used for so many side bars. and I keep a magnifying glass handy for some stats

Actually the white on black works better for me. My magnifying glass has gone walksies, so I've ordered another. I'm hoping to have it in a couple days. Maybe then I can get in some serious reading.
