Hi everyone.

A quick question: what's the best base colour to repaint the tiebomber so it fits in with the rest of the ties.

White

Light grey

Grey

And what wash would you use

I've used Astronomican Grey (old GW paint) and just washed it with black. Seems spot on to me.

My suggestion would be to not do a complete repaint but to use a dry brush technique with a lighter grey to bring out the highlights and details. You could then go and specifically paint some details and perhaps do a very light and/or selective wash technique to make it really pop. I did this with my bombers and they look great and are closer to your basic TIE in color. Just a suggestion.
