Opportunist

Per the cards text:

When attacking, if the defender does not have any focus or evade tokens, you may receive 1 stress token to roll 1 additional attack die.

You cannot use this ability if you have any stress tokens.

So by this statement the extra dice can be added to any attack: primary or secondary, just like Jan Ors?

Yes you can use it on either type of attack.

I did have a situation come up yesterday where someone used opportunist with cluster missiles. We both agreed that you would get a stress after the first 4 dice attack, so you could only do 3 dice on the second attack. But maybe that's wrong?

Cluster Missiles (also Gunner/Luke) are considered two separate attacks. Opportunist couldn't be worked on both of them.
With Gunner/Luke, Expose would count for both, as it increases your primary attack value.

Although I see no reason you couldn't choose to use the extra die on the second of the 2 missile attacks. Not sure there is a reason to wait, but I think you could.

If you're firing at a target with shields, you're typically better off with the stronger attack going second. This gives the first one a chance to remove the shields, thus giving the second a better chance at scoring crits.

Edit: And yes, you can most certainly choose which of the two attacks to apply ANY beneficial effect to, as they are completely separate and independent attacks.

True. Knew there had to be one.

What if i have Captain Yorr close by?

Cluster Missile, take my stress for Opportunist, but pass to Yorr instead.

Roll 4 dice on first attack.

Roll 4 dice on second attack.

Or does the timing not work out that way? Yorr just says, Whenever someone receives the stress, if he has 2 or less he can take it. I'm inclined to think that Yorr makes an "Opportunist" /w Cluster missiles pretty deadly.

Have Jonus closeby, and that's just downright stupid. Granted, that's A LOT of points for a one-trick pony, but that sure is a cool trick.

The way it is phrased, taking the stress on opportunist is a cost, like the stress on soontir fel, which means if Yorr takes the stress then the effect doesn't trigger.

Oh yeah, that's right. I want to say i knew that, but i'll blame it on Monday and move on...
