EOTE supplements you'd like to see

By glewis2317, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Obviously, we're going to get a book for each career, more adventure modules and I'm guessing a few more sourcebooks like Suns of Fortune.

What are some other supplements you'd like to have?

First things first, I want an app to help with character creation and GMing. An app devoted to this game for people who can't get together regularly. Something really robust, where I can see all of my players character sheets and send XP etc, maybe share maps, pictures or music while we play.

I want cards for everything as long as they're not mandatory for play.

I also want an entire supplement devoted to droids because droids are the coolest.

Lets start with http://community.fantasyflightgames.com/index.php?/topic/89135-another-character-generator/ That should satisfy you GM Tool needs. Install the web install in his signature. The one for Google drive should have less bandwidth troubles.

More Sector books like Suns of Fortune. A starship book. Maybe a book like Fragments from the Rim or A book on the criminal underworld. A droid book would be good too.

Definitely knock out the other career sourcebooks (Colonist, Bounty Hunter, Smuggler, and Technician in that order) and probably another two-three adventure modules, but I'd also like to see the following for EotE

  • Hutt Space Sourcebook (similar to Suns of Fortune; include Nikto, Jilruans, and Rybets as playable species)
  • Off the Beaten Path Sourcebook (basically a non-sector sourcebook that includes obscure or new worlds for players and GM's to explore and incorporate)
  • Organizations Sourcebook (a detailed look at Hutt kajidics, Black Sun, Bounty Hunter Guild, and other outfits and how to incorporate them into a group or into an adventure/campaign)
  • Edge of the Empire Campaign Setting (basically a massive module incorporating adventures, setting material, NPCs, and a storyline that takes a group from beginning to "end")

The only cards I'd be interested in are adversary, not for everything thank you very much. They cluttered the hell out of WHFRP.

Career splat books.

Regional sourcebooks.

Compilation of modular encounters.

Tech-centric book focused on Attachments, Modding, Inventing, ship construction, etc.

I like a campaign, similar to Darkstryder, or the Tapani sector

Also a compendium type book with more gear... not just weapons, but Gear, armor and mods

I agree with most of your suggestions, but to be honest I have been a little underwhelmed with the two splat books so far. Sons of Fortune had a lot of good information in it though. They set a very high bar in the core book with more in depth information on the galaxy and the organizations that you might run into on the fringe. I wish they would have expanded on that in the splat books. Like Dangerous Covenants I wish they would have gone into a little depth on some of the mercenary companies that have a long and rich history within the Star Wars EU. Have some details on some bush wars that are happening during the appointed timeline of the game. Illustrate places and people associated with the Merc trade, like the Mercenary Guild of Coyn, or Raven Squadron, or Ghrag's Mercenary base. What about criminal enterprises? Illustrate some of the pirate groups that are active during this time of the SW universe. FFG's model for this game is very much like the 40K games, but the 40K games seem to have much more depth to them in each book. Stuff for the players, stuff for the GM, and fluff for everyone.

The first three suggestions of DavenQuint above are a big yes, yes, yes for me! Especially the organisations sourcebook!

Adventures are not a priority for me, and I probably wouldn't buy any.

As for a big books of droids, aliens, ships, guns&gear etc etc, I would be happy for them to release them as a generic SWRPG product AFTER force & destiny is released.

As a living PDF document, a bumper index of all SWRPG products released to date. Updates included for free as each new book gets released. I would buy this in a heart-beat!

Obviously want to see the remaining 4 career supplements and the additional 12 races they entail.

Hutt Space, Corporate Sector and Coruscant(with sizeable details on The Black Sun) are the three regional books I'd like to see most for EotE

Adventure splatbooks (As we got with The Wheel and Cloud City) for Tatooine, Ord Mantell, and Mandalore would be nice as well if they didn't opt for a full regional book for any of those

I definitely don't want cards to be a requirement for the game, but I find myself using note cards more and more to keep track of things. It'd be cooler if I had cards I could put in sleeve and then use dry erase during play.

More maps.

Character, NPC and ship tokens like they have in the beginner box.

More. Any. The latest book, Jewel of Yavin, was released last week... and there still hasn't been a peep to let us know what the next Edge of the Empire release is going to be. I know... Age of Rebellion comes out at the end of Q2, but I'm really hoping they keep a reasonable schedule at least getting the four more career supplements out.

Off the top of my head

Hutt Space Sourcebook

Corporate Sector Sourcebook

Black Sun Sourcebook

Piracy and Privateerng Sourcebook and some privateering or piracy focused adventures.

Tapani Sector Sourcebook

Hapen Space Sourcebook

Mandalorian Space Sourcebook

I've found that the way FFG are releasing products gives an excellent spread of coverage to important areas like new gear, vehicles, specializations and so on. So I would love to see career books for all careers (including the ones in AoR and FaD, when available) and perhaps some sourcebooks for interesting areas of space. That should cover everything quite well, I feel.

Everything has been mentioned that I would like to see (Thanks DavenQuint), except for 2 things.

More info on Kashyyyk. While I don't play a Wookie, nor have any desire to, I really would like to see more fluff on the planet and sector. That would cover the Trandoshans as well, and a 'well known' rivalry that has been present for some time. Could put a lot of interesting equipment in it as well.

More info on Gand anything. Playing a Gand, I am pretty hard pressed to find anything related to their home world, culture, pretty much anything. We wing it mostly in our games if it ever come up. Would also be nice to see some artistic representations of Gand.

An art book that has all the missing pictures from the all the released books so far, so we can see what all the ships and stuff look like.

A book devoted to star ships of all sizes and their equipemtn, modification, with floor plans, ...

Like the old Starships of the Galaxy from WotC.

Bothan sector

Hutt Space

Giordean Reach

Death star :)

Giordean Reach

While I know it will never happen, I would love to see a Marvel Comics Sourcebook. While Home of the Lost Star Warriors did a valiant effort filling in the Marvel universe for the D6 engine, it hasnt been updated in ages and only did a very, very small handful of stats. But a full on book? Take my money!

More sector guides, with attendant species, NPCs, vehicles, and gear. Suns of Fortune hit the nail on the head there, so... more o' dat.

Also (am I really the first to say this?), that big galactic map from the core book. Shipped rolled, not folded please! :)

Hutts in Spaaaace! Seriously the slugs make natural villains for EotE. As well as patrons, rivals, and maybe someday PCs.

A big collection of new alien species for player characters would be nice.

A collection of as many NPC templates as FFG can cram into it.

Adversary cards. I would be all over these like stink on a Jawa.

Movie/book sourcebooks, with EotE stats for characters, equipment and vehicles

I'd like to see a "beastiary" type book filled with all manner of creatures and droids that could be encountered, although I do like the Suns of Fortune style books... I'd love to see a Hutt Space, Corporate Sector, and Arkanis Sector books.

Bounty Hunter stuff.

Lists of things compiled. I hate having to flip through six different books while I'm building an adventure. The history stuff is cool, but I can learn all about that from wookiepedia.

A compiled book of just gear. (and all relevant modifications)

A compiled book of Adversaries (I'll make my own cards).

A compiled book of Starships with pictures. (and all relevant modifications)

Of the remaining careers, I'd most like to see The Technician source book.

I don't think you'll ever see compiled books, FFG would lose money if people could just buy a compiled book and skip the sources and look up fluff on Wookieepedia.
