I'd love a Rouge Shadow. Much like Han, it would see a lot of play time for me.
What Next?
There was an interview somewhere that said FFG has something like thirty ships planned for the game. What they are is a mystery, of course.
Well at minimum we can be sure they aren't prequel ships.
I bet the Outrider will beat out the Ghost. Because this game is targeted toward 90's era fans, likely because they are most likely to buy a miniature game. Rebels will start off really kiddy in the beginning and those kids are unlikely to get into this game while the old guard may or may not take to Rebels. It's too early to tell.

X-wing, Y-wing, A-wing, B-wing, Falcon, HWK, Transport, Corvette, Z-95, E-wing- That is 10 released or announced unique ships for the Rebels. Its 12 if you count the Aces expansion as separate released ships.
Tie Fighter, Advanced, INT, Firespray, Lamda, Bomber, Defender, Phantom. The Imperials are at 8 different ships and 10 including Aces.
So counting Aces we are at 22 released or announced ships. If thirty is anywhere accurate we might have another two waves or another wave with a bunch of capital ships. I think 30ish would be a pretty good number as far as variety. I fear that adding too much can hurt the game in the long run. The more ships and options you have the more complex and unwieldy a game can get. I love this game for its relatively simple learning curve, but the skill (and a bit of luck) to be truly good at it.
That feels right to me...30-ish ships total.
Two more 4 ship releases and we may have this particular game wrapped up, except for specials/re-paints/epic scale, etc.
For me it really hinges on the lack of cool Rebel material after the YT-2400.
To even find 3 more iconic, recognizable Rebel ships is difficult. Sure, you can dream up something or other, but to have them be legit choices (in my subjective opinion) is a bit more difficult.
Maybe they'd even do just one more 4-ship wave and fill the rest with special stuff.
Like they did with the HWK-290, they have proven they can surprise us with relatively unknown vessels. It has been fascinating to watch this game evolve in "real time"!

I also read in some place that could be 30 ships. I just hope that the repaints does not count as "another ship".
Well really 23, you are not counting the X-wing that came with the transport.
I'd really like to see the Vangaard Pathfinder mini get made. Could make a cool mechanic to increase Attack after losing shields.
I count 18 total ships. Repaints are unlikely to count. That leaves 2 large waves, 1 More rebel Huge ship, and 3 more Imperial.
I think "about 30 ships" could mean 32. If they stick with that, we'll get three more four-ship waves after Wave 4, plus two Imperial huge ships.
