Anywhere to play X-wing in Southeast Pennsylvania?

By rcrowejr1, in X-Wing

Hi - any place for someone to play X-wing in southeast PA? I love this game but no where to play close to me, I drove about an hour to the gaming store, which was a great store and gaming setup but no one showed up for their designated X-wing game night......

I play at All the King's Men in Pitman, NJ, which is about 30 minutes outside of Pennsylvania via either the Walt Whitman, Ben Franklin, or Commodore Barry Bridges. We meet every Monday from 5-9. PM me if you want more info!

I'm finding X-wing to be a pretty grass roots game. You want to get people into it, invite them over and teach them. Then send them out to propagate.

Edit: Sorry. I realize this doesn't actually answer your real question. I live and play down in the Baltimore area, and we have quite a few game stores that seem to be catching on with Xwing. Anything in Philly that might be similar?

Thanks! appreciate it. The store in South Jersey sounds great...but too far for me to go on a Monday night I am about 45 minutes west of Philly

@Bohrdumb, thanks! I have been playing with my kids...but would like to play people closer to my age, most folks in my neighborhood don't have much interest.

Have you looked for anything in Lancaster or York? Is Harrisburg too far?

I found a store in near Lancaster, but both nights I have gone there for X-wing night no one else had shown up. Great store and nice people though.

Granite run. In media. Showcase comics

Dang, that sucks. If you want to drive a few hours, there's a great store west of Baltimore that has a nice crowd (Games and Stuff - Glen Burnie). They're having a tourney Saturday that will likely run most of the day (might make it worth the drive for you).

I would recommend joining NOVA Squadron's facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/543976092311385/

While most of us are centered between Northern VA, DC, MD, I know that there are some players from your neck of the woods in the group. At least 3 from around Lancaster attended our last tournament in Glen Burnie, MD on Saturday.

@eagletsi111 thanks! I just checked out the website I will check out the store at Granite run, looks like Tuesday nights they have X-wing!

Thanks I will check it out!

Thanks so much I just joined the NOVA group! Looks really cool

That Game Place near Harrisburg has a good group, generally meets a few Saturdays a month.

Indeed they do! I haven't been there is a while. Wife has been sick and needed surgery, but maybe I will see you there sometime.

The store is great, and the guys are nice.

Enjoy

7th Dimension games has a group that plays in Jenkintown. Also, we have a group on Facebook for both X- wing and Attack wing called Flight Night @ 7th Dimension

Where in Jenkintown? Brave new worlds and Jenkintown Hobby are both gone :(

10mins south of Abington hospital on 611

Red canopy on the right, parking in the rear next to ihop

Brave new worlds is around they are on 63 welsh rd pass the Willow Grove mall.

Anyone up for having a pick up game at Games Keep in West Chester? They just opened a new space and have alot more space for open play,

Granite Run Mall has a showcase comics in media, pa

Funny you should say that I am heading to Granite Run Mall tonight to see if anyone wants to play, went there a few weeks ago and had a good time.

Tap N Atk in camp Hill does open x wing all day every Wednesday. They are open from noon till 10pm and conviently located off of 83 North before heading into Harrisburg. We usually do 50 point games, but lately we just play whatever everyone agrees on. Last week we played on a warmhammer table with trees and Hills, it was a good time. Just a bit tricky keeping the models from sliding down the slopes though.

rcrowejr1, a bunch of us are just starting to get into this game. We have players from as far north as northern New Jersey to as far south as Dover, DE. We get together once a month at my place, just outside of southwest Philly.

I am really digging this game, so far, and am looking forward to getting in some tournaments and visiting some of the Jersey stores that I have not, yet, been.

We do have a Facebook page if interested.

Dmcgee1 - sorry I just saw your post. What is your facebook page?

The closest store to me right now is Games Keep in West Chester but probably too far for you.
