Chain polearm any sightins :P

By at0milich, in Rogue Trader

My new player had very good vision of her character but in Core, into the storm and hostile acquistitions there is no weapon that fits the idea.

Is there a chain polearm mentioned anywhere. What i'm looking for is basically a Chain-glaive or chain-naginata?

There's like three polearms in the entirety of the FFG franchises, none of which are chain weapons. At a guess, I'd stat it as 1d10+2 rending, two-handed, pen 2, tearing, balanced. Maybe chuck in defensive as well.

Thanks :)

I thought they had a two handed chain sword some where? Besides the Eviserator (or however you spell it).

Hammer of the Emperor (for OW) has a Chainglaive on p. 116.

1d10+3, pen 2, Razor-Sharp, Tearing, Unbalanced, 2Handed, 12 kgs. Very Rare.

There's the Zaythan Warblade in Hostile Aquisitions if that's what you mean?

Chain Glaive is described in Hammer of the Emperor, pg. 116.

Melee 1d10+3 R Pen 2, Razor-sharp, Tearing, Unbalanced. Very Rare, 12kg.

Edit: Ninja'd.

Thank you. Didn't have all me books in front me.

Hammer of the Emperor also hast the Chainflail, while Black Crusade Corebook has the Chain Halberd and the Tome of Blood has the Chain Spear.

Concept is prettymuch chainnaginata...

FYI chrater is a arch-militant who specializes melee weapons. and wants a chain-naginata, excuse... homeworld is Fervious...SFTU about campaign management.

Like mentioned above, check out the BC core rules and the Tome of Blood (think there were a few in there actually).

Chain Flail??? Wow....... I like it. :D

Our old pilot used to have a power whip that she used exclusively for castrating prisoners during interrogations...

Just go through the weapon special rules and existing chain armory with the player and negotiate a profile.

I think I'd mostly go with the profile you've suggested except dump defensive and replace it with a house rule where the weapon can both strike opponents at two meters and hold a single enemy at that range unless they can beat the user at an opposed WS test as a free action. I'd also change the damage to a flat 2d10 and make it an exotic weapon falling under the group "polearms and halberds".

BC also holds Double Headed Chain Great Axes, Chain Hammers...

Chain Halberd is 1d10+3, Pen 2 or 3, Tearing... Think that is about as close as one gets, or that Hammer of the Emperor stuff...

Well, there's the Mercy chainsword. 1d10+5 pen2 tearing unwieldy, if I remember correctly.

And the Zayth Warblade in ItS.
