Colonel Janden question

By Zogwort, in X-Wing Rules Questions

This should be quick and easy for you veterans :)

When Colonal Janden passes his target lock to another nearby friendly ship, can he on the next turn make a new target lock for himself without losing the one he passed to the other ship?

Essentially, is the target lock created by Janden still count as being maintained by Janden once he gives it to another ship?

it is held by the other ship so yes, and if you give him weapons engineer he can maintain 2 target locks and pass off one each round.

The target lock is maintained by the holder of the blue token, not by the one who originated the TL in the first place.

Jendon goes extraordinarily well with
Weapons Engineer
ST-321
Fire-Control Systems
(in that order)

Adding an Engine Upgrade and Gunner makes him incredibly lethal even without other ships to whom to pass the Target Locks.
I love pairing him with a swarmlet, or possibly a trio of Interceptors :)

I haven't picked up a Slave 1 pack yet so I don't have all the cards in that configuration.

At the moment I am running him with:

Weapons Engineer

ST-321

Heavy Laser Cannon

Engine Upgrade

Rebel Captive

So far he is rocking :)

Also makes him very expensive and dead very quickly.

He has to be at range one to hand out TL so while your interceptors can aquire TL for their first attack, most players have trouble keeping him in a dog fight and at range one of friendly forces after that.

I have a question regarding Col Jendon as well. Since ties and interceptors do not have a targeting computer in their action bar, can I give a tie fighter at range 1 from Jendon a blue target lock token to use?

Yep, passing tokens does not depend on the receiver being able to take whatever action is normally used to gain that token.

thanks dbmeboy for your response to my question.
