By Wayne Argabright, in X-Wing

Trying to post some pictures of my storage solution for my cards, but the site wont let me post them? i can post them on "Other" sites??? anybody have a clue on what i am doing wrong? tried drag and drop, cut/paste.. just stumped... thx..

Just below smiley face is a box which, if you hover the arrow over, will say image. Click on that and you'll see it needs an image url.

Copy an image url.

paste.

done.

Edit: below and left of smiley face. Not directly below.

It took me a while to learn how to do this but once you get the hang of it, it's good fun.

I've found that at least on my two computers, not all of the forum features work when I use Internet Explorer. When I want to post a picture or use a quote in a reply, I have to do the post from Firefox.

I know others have had trouble posting pictures to this forum as well. I got a photobucket account for this and other forums I'm part of. I don't like having to use an additional site just to post to a forum, but photobucket made it easy, and if you use it and still have problems, just make sure you use the 'direct' link from their site when you're posting the URL into the image field. I've found that was the easiest way for your photo to show up. Some of the other options, from Photobucket anyway, give you an http://... that won't show on this forum, but the 'direct' link has worked every time for me.

yeah i was trying to use the image url box, but all it would do is post the image url.. not the image!!!! i was trying to post pics that i took with my camera from my computer, maybe that's the problem as they don't have URLs?? might try photobucket, but have had bad luck with image sharing sites that tend to spam the heck out of you... This is the ONLY site that i have had problems posting pics on... FB works great, BGG works great. AFM works great.. etc... most places allow you to upload pics as a "File"

Ah, I have a possible solution for you.

I knew someone who couldn't post images because they didn't have URLs. Similar situation to you. So what he did was he set up a blog, not for any serious blogging, but so that he could post the pictures on his blog. Somehow that gave the images an URL and he could then copy and paste.

Stupid I know; but it worked.

It's a lot of messing around for the sake of posting pictures, and I hope someone can suggest an easier way, but that is how he solved the issue of giving images URLs.

yeah the easier way was to just email the pictures to the person that was asking about my card storage solution!! lol but i might just have to open a picture sharing account someplace.. just need to find a good one with a no spam policy!!!
