I see there is a 100 point tournament at PAX East on April 11.

I've never been to PAX before, and the info on the PAX site is very minimal. Does anyone know how you sign up for the tournaments? I know the 40K tournament has people signing up early via a post on Dakka Dakka. Is there something similar here, or is it first come first serve on the day of the event? Do these tournaments usually fill up quickly, so should I try to be in line really early if I want to play?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

PAX East is sold out.

It is stupid to host events at PAX due to it is almost impossible to get tickets just for X wing players vs All the other fans.

Yeah, I actually have a ticket, just trying to figure out how to register. I asked someone who went last year and it sounds like you can only sign up for the tournament at PAX on the day of the event, which is a bummer. It would be no fun to bring my toys and have no one to play with!

I never did find a way to pre-register. Played a practice game against my son with my X-Wing list this evening. Its an easy list, many same skill pilots to help me not crash into myself so much. I hope I can get into the tournament, and I hope you can too.

I'll be there and playing! Last year there was a fair number of X-Wing players around doing open board gaming and various demos. I know a number of locals who are planning on playing.

Also, Saturday 3-11pm at Pax East, I'll be running X-Wing demo games by the Pandemonium Books & Games dealer booth. Folks who play in any of the Pandemonium demo games will get a coupon for 20% off that game product range at the booth.

I only have a Friday ticket, unfortunately. I was bummed I missed the recent tournament at Pandemonium.

And official details will be sorted out later, but we're definitely on for another Pandemonium tourney on the last Sat in May. Either the pre-release Assault prize kit if we get one of those, or else the Game Night kit prizes!

Found out today: all tabletop tournaments are sign-up on site in the tabletop area on the day of each tournament. Doors to the gaming room open at 10am, sign-up is open then. Tourney is listed as 11am-8pm.

Yes that's true. It was only 16 people, and they ran out of space. It was 4 rounds of play over about 6 hours total including breaks. I won 2 games and lost two games. I lost my last game by letting a corner of my firespray go over the edge of the board. Tragedy!! I loved it though, and played games with some great people. it was my first tournament and I am looking forward to the next.

Yes. It also was not an official FFG event. I suspected as such from the limited info available. One of the vendors was running the event using a Game Night kit, and alas they were not prepared to run it for more than 16 people. Which was unfortunate considering how many people attend Pax. I think there were like 32-40 or so who wanted to play. But if they do something again next year, hopefully they will plan for a Pax-sized turnout.

I also went 2-2, losing to Brian (2nd?) & Mike (3rd), both strong competative local players. Fun games all, but sad that everyone couldn't play.
