We are running an event this weekend at our local store and some players are keen to play with thier shinny new aces.

Now i understand that technically till they are updated into the FAQ they arent tourney legal but seriously they were already 3 month late and yet FFG hasnt even given any clues as to when they will be legal, the tournament is just a casual one but it is the first for the store so they are feeling their way a bit.

it seems a majority of the players are ok with it but there are a few that have some reservations, obviously we dont want to put anyone out but at the same time its quite casual and players want to play with thier ( long overdue) new toys.

thoughts?

All I have to say is, they'd better be legal by the pre wave 4 tournament coming up.

Official FFG sanctioned tournaments follow FFG tournament rules. Fun games do not have to do so. You could allow them to be used in your store events.

FFG late, it isso unlike them.

If bet they are by the end of the week or next week. They were waiting for store champs to clear.

As to the OP, it's really up to you and I think you should allow them. Just get the word out.

The only think I would hold back on is any remaining Store Championship events. Anything else should be ok. At the FFG Game Center Store Championship Alex Davy was saying there would be a tournament rule update in early April that would make them legal. I don't think I would wait for it for a non official tournament season kind of thing tho.

We just had our store championship with ffg prize support (plaque with dark curse on and regionals bye option for winner) we're also having another one in a couple of weeks with ffg prize support but has no bearing on other tourneys, the prizes are aces themed including a medal with a interceptor on it, we have already decided to allow aces in it even if they aren't legal by then (especially when you look at the theme of the poster/prizes)
