First Imperial list, looking for input

Hello everyone! I've been doing some brainstorming lately, trying to come up with some half decent lists to take to my flgs during our open X-Wing night. Typically I play Rebels but I wanted to try my hand at an Imperial list, and this is my favorite so far, tell me what you think.

kagi is better with saboteur, since you will be running your shuttle around the outside (making target locks useless) it would be better to flip crits face up than have the potential of them shooting at you. I find with a shuttle (unless it is an up in their face shuttle) Rebel captive isn't a great choice.

id recommend finding points for engine upgrade and probably adv sensors on that shuttle. these upgrades make it playable as its now fast and unpredictable (u can boost b4 ur move, thats very useful)

I suggest you drop Jax's Targeting Computer and Kagi's Rebel Captive to put Engine Upgrade on Kagi .

Basic questions for any list are:

What are you trying to achieve?

How are your choices going to help you achieve your goals?

Are these the ships you're looking for?

You've got kagi disrupting their target locking and Jax disrupting their ability to focus or evade, now you need to find a way to capitalize on their weakness.

To answer Dagonet's basic questions for the list, which he himself already essentially answered; The list is designed to shut down the opponent's actions via Kagi and Jax's combined abilities. As this will likely make it a fair degree easier to deal damage and to prevent my ships from eating it (in theory, anyway) this newer incarnation of the list attempts to put out a lot of facedown damage that can be flipped up by Kagi to keep him a little more relevant than just weakening TLs. The biggest concern I have about this new version is that Saboteur and Engine Upgrade on Kagi is less than efficient, though perhaps not since Saboteur has limited range and boosting won't always be necessary every turn.

ur list has improved although id drop Saboteur and downgrade mauler to Dark Curse and add Adv. Sensors on Kagi. This will serve far more useful as Saboteur requires u to be a range 1 of the target (simple enough if u r taking the frontal attack route, but wout adv sensors ur shuttle is far less manouverable and at close range will get destroyed quickly with its single defense dice :(

Yes Dark Curse is more defensive than Mauler but he will last longer on average due to his hard to hit him ability and will probably inflict at least as much damage throughout the course of the game.
