Is a Luke, Wedge and Biggs build still viable and if so, how would you equip each ship?
Yes, though I am considering trading out Wedge for one of the new guys.
Biggs
+ R2-F2
Luke
+ DTF
+ R2-D2
+ Shield Upgrade
Wedge/Wes
+ Squad Leader
+ R3-A2
for a 98 point fleet.
Is it as good as Froggies'? Probably not. Still fun to play, though.
I've found that the Luke/Biggs/Wedge is good and fun for casual play but, as with most 3 ship Rebel builds, lacks the firepower for competition in tournaments.
When I run "The Trench Run Trio" I equip them as follows:
Wedge w/Swarm Tactics (to make Biggs PS9) & R2.
"Super" Luke w/Vet Instincts, R2D2 & Shield Upgrade
"Tanking" Biggs w/R2F2 & Stealth Device.
When the Transport comes out I will be replacing Biggs with Wes Jansen w/Vet Instincts and giving Wedge PtL instead of Swarm Tactics.

Wes, R2 + VI
Luke, R2-D2 + DTF + Shield
Biggs, R2-F2 + Shield
Wes can help protect Biggs from missile shots or set up easier to hit targets for his buddies.
Luke is a nightmare as a late game closer
Biggs is built to get you wingmen to the end game.
You have to play this list smart or you will lose. The longer you can keep Biggs alive the better your chances. You really need to use the rocks to your
advantage with this list. If you face a swarm don't meet them head on, try and force them through the rocks and break their formation. 3 Ship lists
are a lot of fun, but are high risk. You have very little room for error. Now there are tricks to flying Biggs with Wes and Luke. You never want Luke or
Wes in front of Biggs, try and keep Biggs to the outside edge of his wing mates. Another trick is to give your opponent an chance to shoot at Wes in
that first exchange. You don't want more then 2 ships shooting at Wes, but it helps keep Biggs in the game longer. Keep Luke within range 1 of both,
so he can use DTF. If you can divide their fire power then your golden. I win quite often with 3 ship builds, but when I lose it's usually very fast as I fall
like dominos.

Scooter's was the list I came up with. I am primarily interested because I have Red 2, 3 and 5 painted with accurate paint jobs so want to at least put them on the table every now and again. I'll be doing Garven and the new pilots as soon as I can find decent pictures of there ships :-)
