A Green Squadron Pilot
+ Opportunist
+ Chardaan Refit
+ A-Wing Test Pilot Title
is the same cost as a Rookie Pilot.
Now, a GSP with no upgrades has a better dial, more actions, higher Pilot Skill, andgreater survivability than its Rookie cousin. Adding Opportunist allows you the choice of whether to trade in a partial dial or an attack die for this swap.
An A-Wing who is able to activate Opportunist every round is essentially playing with the following dial, with the option to go back to the standard A-Wing dial whenever they wish.
1 Turn (Red, as the stress is maintained)
2 Turn (White as previous stress is negated)
2 Bank (White)
2 Forward (White)
3 Turn (Red)
3 Bank (Red)
3 Forward (White)
4 Forward (White)
5 Forward (White)
Which is still a pretty good dial, all things considered. Better than the HWK's, at any rate.
Remember, this is a choice: if you need to go back to the regular A-Wing dial, you just lose 1 attack die until you return to this pattern.
As for further upgrading, the GSP build still has their EPT slot (thanks to the Title), which is on par with the Astromech slot in general (though stressful EPTs get in the way of Opportunist)
I forsee this as having a huge shift in the general metagame for Rebellious builds, and therefore their opposition.
What think ye?
