Just received Imperial Aces as a gift. Opened the parcel only to find...
Clearly you can see it's still shrink wrapped.

Best try your luck there, here's hoping because that sucks big time.
I had one of the wings on my TIE Advanced pop off just like that. Fortunately, a little super glue (Zap-a-Gap!) and it's right back to where it should be. Hopefully you can do the same!
You lucky dog.
If I know anything about FFG's customer service, they will replace it, no worries there.
Grab some superglue.
You just got a free Royal Intercepter.
Hoosteen said it! FFG's customer service is great. As soon as I get my Imperial Aces let's trade.
Dude I personally straightened almost everyone of my 13 Interceptor's wings. They are glued on well, but most are crooked or slanted. Both wings should be straight on. So no worries just give it alittle super glue and some love and it'll be ok.
I am also impressed at how it was able to do a in package barrel roll! That's is noice!
How does that even happen? It hasn't even left the protective carton?
No damage on the box, or shipping container either... weird

Vibrations during travel and insufficient glue applied during assembly. The same thing happened with one of my TIE fighters and it was so very simple to fix.

When I got my 4 Imp Ace sets and went to straightening their wings I noticed the Royal Guard Ints wings came off really easy. I don't know if it was the way the glue interacted with the red paint or what but little to no force was needed to have them pop off. A good jarring from a dropped package could have done your's in.
That's so crazy, I've never experienced that sort of QC issues!
It will be replaced for sure. The pictures you have taken of it send to FFG as proof.
I have had two miniatures replaced after I took pictures and sent them in.
FFG are really good.
Yeah I've had TIEs with crooked wings, Ints with crooked wings, and Bombers that had snapped off wings in the package that you couldn't see until they were opened. Oh and dear lord with those crooked X-Wing cannons and engines!
You'd think these things were made in China or something... oh wait
J/K! i love stuff made in china lol
Yeah I currently have a TIE Bomber on the way. As fore mentioned I opened it and it's left wing fell right off. It had been broke clean. I tried gluing it a few times, but with a small flat surface it just wouldn't hold. I took a pic and filled out the replacement form. It is in the process of being replaced now. FFG has awesome CS!

I feel for you man, that sucks
One of the X-wings I bought, the lower right blaster was off center from the wing. Completely just off the peg it sits on when they glue it in. I simply pulled off all the blasters, clipped the pegs off. Then re-glued every blaster with the straightened position pointing the right way. Looks alot better now, thanks to a forum post as well..I fixed my Lamda Shuttle so the wings go down all the way! No more belly flopping shuttle for me!
Now we know what Darth Vader meant when he said "The Emperor is not as forgiving as I am".
This is my one complaint about the game, the ships are too fragile. Come on FFG invest a bit into your product and make the most important component more durable....you could have used the same material used for Descent....this feel like some kind of resin/plastic hybrid (suspiciously like their friends at GW's finecrap line).

I wouldn't go that far. Plus the Descent stuff doesn't come pre-painted, and in the case of some of the Lt. packs even pre-assembled. I have everything out for Descent...and unlike it I have never had to trim flashing off a single X-Wing model.

I agree. Descent is awesome. And the figures are pretty sick.
But they're not X-Wing Miniatures. Not painted, and not nearly as intricate.

You don't seem to understand what I'm saying. I'm not saying use the same process of creation as Descent, use a similar more durable material like the Descent ones. They could very easily still paint them and make them 'intricate'. Let's be honest, the current materials for the minis is poor quality for durability.
I can't say I agree. I keep mine in Plano cases, four X-wings in a small compartment just big enough for them, and I've yet, in a year now, to have a single problem with damage. I stand them on the engines and fit them in offset so they really can't slide around much, but never has one been broken.
A friend of mine bough the last Imperial Aces box that our game store had last Saturday, and one of the wings was broken on it too. He just glued it back on, but it looks like this isn't an unheard of problem with this set.
I disagree. Except for the poorly fitting Large Ship pegs, which will inevitably crack with regular use, the ships and componentsseem very durable. Except for the occasional freak thing like that wing falling off before you get it, I rarely have seen broken models, out of the dozens I have myself and the hundreds I have come into contact with through other players.
Overall, the models are pretty durable given the intricacy of some of the details. And when you encounter one of those one-in-a-thousand manufacturing screwups, FFG cheerfully (!) sends you a replacement just for reporting it.
