Dropping the Bomber

I just dropped a bomber, it was a big one

well, he ran Tien Numb and Han, both pretty loaded. It worked out very well for me. A little more tweaking and I might have my tourney list ready to go.

And btw, elusiveness actually saved jonus a crit.

That's its main use. Since when you reroll a hit, you have a 5/8 chance of it being the same result (F/Hit), and a 1/8 of turning it into a crit. However, when you reroll the crit, you have a 7/8 chance of it being a better result, and a 1/8 of it being the same.

How are you using squad leader. Jonus can pass an action, but I'm taking target locks on all the other bombers, so the other bomber would just get a focus with it. I found that to be less useful and the chance to avoid a crit.

It helps mitigate issues with Biggs or more lucrative guys at PS 4+. If you read the section on PS, it might help. Basically, if you're not in range of the target, but potentially could be that round, take a focus action with one of the Bombers then used Squad Leader when they come into range.

It took me a while to get that, but I basically think it's essential to take Squad Leader on a higher PS if you're running Bombers. A crit on Jonus sucks, but having zero target locks is worse.

Ohhh, I get you. I guess my initial approach strategy is to make sure that if I'm acting last (which is often the case even with gammas) than I get INTO their range on turn 2. Then it's just a matter of where they actually move. Good case: Range 2-3 and missiles away), bad case: range 1 extra die, save the ordinance and the target lock for after a K turn, and drop bombs.

Isnt it just too easy to evade the Jendon-Bomber squad?

I mean if i run a Biggs list and all Bombers have a lock on biggs, I just let him back until the bombers are busy with the rest of the pack .... and .... lol ... imagine Biggs with Expert Handling (with the new R2) ... this would drive you crazy
