So I was playing around with lists before running into a meeting and I came up with this:

Chewbacca — YT-1300
-Push the Limit
-C-3PO
-R2-D2 (Crew)
-Hull Upgrade

-Millennium Falcon

Green Squadron Pilot — A-Wing
-Push the Limit
-Chardaan Refit
-Expert Handling
-A-Wing Test Pilot

Green Squadron Pilot — A-Wing
-Push the Limit
-Chardaan Refit
-Expert Handling
-A-Wing Test Pilot

The idea, 2 very fast and nimble blockers that can focus and evade, or boost and barrel roll each turn (provided they shed some stress), all backed up by the tankiest of walking carpets. Each turn chewie can PTL, gaining a focus, an evade, potentially a free evade from 3P0 and maybe repair a shield.

I have been using Blue Chewie for the last little bit, and I have been really feeling the fragility of the BWings (as everyone just focuses them down and I loose all oomph very quickly.) Here there is less oomph, but so much more vavavoom!)

Any comments?

You really want lower than PS3 in a blocker, plus Expert Handling is not great on the A-wings because it still gives them a stress. To combo that with PtL, you are locked into BRing first (second PtL action has to be on your action bar), which leaves you with double stress. If you are set on double EPTs, Veteran Instincts might be better. That way all your ships move at PS5. Wingman on both might have some utility if they are going to run together, letting them mutually clear stress (or do so for Chewie) and maximizing dial options for the following turn. EH would be better utilized on Chewie to let him zoom around the board and dodge arcs. Personally I would do something more like:

Chewbacca + Expert Handling + Luke Skywalker + C-3P0 + Millenium Falcon + Hull Upgrade

2x Green Squadron Pilots + Chardaan Refit + A-wing Test Pilot + Push the Limit + Veteran Instincts

Plenty of upgrade points to shift around. Could give the A-wings Hull/Stealth and/or different EPTs. If you really want blockers you could try:

Chewbacca

1x Green Squadron Pilot + Chardaan Refit + Push the Limit

2x Prototype Pilots + Chardaan Refit

This gives you an extra A-wing, makes two of them good blockers and leave 8 points for upgrades.

try wingman instead of evasive maneuvers. You loose the barrel roll, but they gain the ability to get rid of each others' stress, letting you do back to back k turns if you really want.

It may be very hard to kill but I'm afraid it also lacks much offensive punch. You've got Chewie and his 3 attack dice on a turret but after that you're looking a 2 attack dice ships. I really don't think that having 7 Red dice at R2 is going to cut it. You're hard to kill but have a hard time killing in return.

WIthout any missiles on the A-Wings, I would focus fire on Chewie and basically ignore the A-Wings. After Chewie is gone, the A-Wings are going to struggle to kill anything with only 2 attack dice.

Something like

2x Green, PTL, refit, expose

Chewbacca, expert handling, gunner, c-3po

might be better,

Greens with PTL and expose can focus and evade for extreme tankyness or focus and expose and get 3 attack dice.

Definately something I would like to try.

I do agree in general putting a-wings there is just a big kill chewie first sign, but if you can make that work for you then great.
