If I use my focus token to use the Blaster Turret and also have a target lock can I use the target lock to reroll my dice?
Kyle Katarn & Blaster Turret
Sure. You haven't modified the dice yet, so no reason you can't reroll them using a TL.
Ok, Thanks. That's what I thought.

Actually, maybe worth pointing out (in case you had Recon Specialist) that you could reroll blanks and then still spend a second focus token to modify the results, if you had one.
Actually, come to that, I suppose you could spend the focus token and THEN the target lock, reroll then modify, but that's just never a good idea. ![]()
Actually, come to that, I suppose you could spend the focus token and THEN the target lock ...
You can. If you want to. I absolutely refuse to recommend that.

I'm just saying, Vanor said "You haven't modified the dice yet, so no reason you can't reroll them using a TL" so I thought someone should point out that you can actually do it that way, even if you never should. ![]()

I didn't think I could use two focus tokens in the same turn?

True you can, and true you shouldn't. ![]()

You can, you can in theory use 1,000 focus in one turn. If you had that many and that many things to spend them on.
What you can not do, is take the Focus Action more then one time in a turn. But spending tokens is not an action, so you can spend as many as you have, and have things to spend them on.
I didn't think I could use two focus tokens in the same turn?
Sure can. If you happen to have them. For whatever reason.
You cannot perform any particular action (like the focus action) more than once per round.
Spending a token is not an action.
So if I have the Blaster Turret and spend a focus to perform that, then roll the dice and I end up with all focuses, I can then use a focus to turn all those into hits?

Assuming you have that Focus token then YES.

Recon Specialist works well with blaster turret. For exactly that reason.

Ok, thanks. I was really confused about that and didn't know.

Yep.

As noted above, you can't take two of the same actions. Recon Specialist, Garven, Kyle (and probably some of the new ones I can't think off of the top of my head) all are ways to end up with more than one Focus token on a ship during a turn. Just those three above could give you four tokens per turn if you played it right. If you have them, you can use them on any applicable roll that you make.
So if I have the Blaster Turret and spend a focus to perform that, then roll the dice and I end up with all focuses, I can then use a focus to turn all those into hits?
Would I also after doing this be able to use a focus on defense too?

Sure.
Getting all those focus tokens might be an issue.

In the first 3 turns I can build up 6 to start by just moving 1 every time.

Careful... only [edit: the Moldy Crow title] allows you to keep focus tokens beyond the end of a turn. If you have focus tokens on any other ship you must remove those focus tokens at the end of the turn.

Actually, it's the moldy crow title that let's you keep focus. Kyle himself lets you pass a token to friends.

In theory, you could spend up to 12 focus tokens in 1 turn
Kyle passes off 1
Shoots with blaster turret for 1
Modifies results for 1
Gunner-attack modified for 1
Get shot at by 8 TIEs for the other 8 on defense

I see your 12 and raise you to 16 assuming we're sticking to 100 point games.
Instead of getting shot at by 8 TIE Fighters allowing 8 for Defense you get shot at by 6 Z-95s each using a Cluster Missile for a total of 12 attacks against you.
