How I plan to run an Age of Rebellion game..

By That Blasted Samophlange, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

I have done some preliminary work on several missions. Was having a bitnof writers block, and I am still waiting on my core book.

My group has decided to be all pilots, do doing missions for them is easy enough, I have to write the missions with other group types in mind (stormtroopers, command ship crew and possible mixed groups) which takes a bit of extra time.

With all the work I did on the dossiers for the crew I do have to script some dialog/reactions to situations. I want the npc crew to feel more like people than stat blocks.

Many of this missions will have choices depending on the party composition, as well as a moral conundrun. For instance do the pilots destroy the fleeing rebel ship, even if it is known to have civilians? Or if given the choice between attacking the shield generator to allow a ground strike to commence, with heavy fighting in a civilian area or the city power generator which can cause a situation where the military forces must surrender to protect/shelter the civvies.

While not all missions will be against rebels, there will be some. Many of the missions will be from the anti piracy imperial keeping law and order standpoint.

Rest assured, as I finish a mission I will post it. The first will likely be in the Teke Ro system, as the crew opposes a salt smuggling ring, trying to addict the arcona.

Sounds great! If you need ideas on what to throw at the players to make them quit the Empire, you could use this:

It's a story I wrote up to show how evil the Empire is (I felt that Alderaan was too generic and well known to the players for them to take seriously). In your campaign, I'd say flip the roles; have the PC's be a part in attacking the transport. If they aren't involved in the shooting on board, you could have the Stormtroopers mention it when they return (either laughingly, seriously, or in horror). Although I'd be careful; my players mentioned that it was straight up uncomfortable to be in the ship. You may wih to use less vivid descriptions, or not use it at all if you have very light-of-heart players.

Here is the best deckplan I can find of the imperial gozanti.

I will have to ask if I can use it in a document. I give more crew than he does, but he does say the bunks are triple bunks, so my crew can stay the same. I also added more consumables and a tractor beam.

Nice. Interested in seeing how this turns out.

So, when are you coming out to California to run this for me? :)

Well, I don't know about that, but as soon as I can I will be doing up a pdf. Ideally I'll update it as I come up with new missions.

Mine kicks off tonight. Rescue mission, clandestine secret societies, a trapped rich Baroness, and Repulsor tech doesn't work on the world, what could possibly go wrong?.....

Well I'm amazed this is quite an idea(and task) best of luck. I hope the players will enjoy it playing at least as much as i enjoyed it while reading

Seriously though, how do you get from surface to space if repulsors don't work? Space elevator to a docking station in low orbit?

Correct. Inserts a lovely level of complication into the mix. Did I mention the near constant lethal upper atmo electrical storms caused by a planetary ring system that interacts with the abnormal solar activity of the system's sun? No long range powered flight either unless you're suicidal.

Made for a great train sequence borrowing from the Asajj Ventress bounty hunter episode for feel while inserting shenanigans in a galactic royal family struggling with which side to support in the galactic war, my group's clandestine organization called 'Sanctuary', a local insurgency, as well as another secret society making a move on the team's target for unknown reasons.
