How much Encumbrance is a vehicle?

I, for one, really like the idea of sticking a Wayfarer inside of a Wayfarer. The real question is, does the encumbrance a vehivle is holding count towards its own encumbrance rating, or can you fit an indefinite number of wayfarers inside of each other like some kind of vehicular bag of holding?

One rule I was considering to include on my values was something along the following

A Vehicle's Encumbrance is a measure of it's Size and Weight, but that value can be changed depending on the state of the Vehicle.

A Vehicle may be Packaged for Storage. While Packaged, a Vehicle's Encumbrance is reduced in half, but an appropriately sized hanger and several checks and hours to literally build it.

A Vehicle may be Compacted for Transportation assistance. While Compacted, the Vehicle's is collapsed wherever possible. It's internal Encumbrance Capacity is reduced to 0. This method gives you the default value. A Difficult 3 Mechanics check in a location with enough room to set it Ready to Deploy, This is merely a time check, so a failure allows another check after some time passes.

A Vehicle may be Ready to Deploy. Meaning it is fueled up, loaded up, and ready to fly at any point. While in this state the Vehicle require 50% more Encumbrance.

...So, that's a no to infinite Wayfarer stacking? That's a real shame.

I mean the Wayfarer is probably out, but who knows if there is another vehicle somewhere that has just an absurd amount of Encumbrance Capacity...

I've been having very good luck recently for the encumbrance of large items (vehicles or rancors) being estimated by pretty simple calculation of (encumbrance) = 5*(silhouette)^(silhouette-1). Also useful for finding the silhouette size of certain large pieces of gear like the 10000 encumbrance Atmospheric Processor. For the silhouettes I have seen it gives a progression like this:

Silhouette Encumbrance
1 5
2 10
3 45
4 320
5 3125
6 38880
7 588245
8 10485760
9 215233605
10 5000000000
20 2.62144E+25

It seems to generally allow big things to fit into the holds of specifically cargo vessels one silhouette larger, but not non-cargo vessels. Works really well for large animals, and for back-calculating the silhouettes of large pieces of equipment like the water vaporators (Sil 2) and terraforming equipment (Sil 6) from Far Horizons. It is a bit weak for vehicles around silhouette 2-3, where one can end up with a landspeeder capable of fitting inside itself. Adding something's own cargo capacity to its calculated size readily solves that problem.
