Maybe i'm not seeing it, but all I can find is theComprehensive FAQ project and Kevin Wilson's answers. Could someone direct me to the FAQ?

My other questions is this: Can you use clue tokens on checks that don't have the skill named. Like Evade and Combat checks. They are not fight or will checks. Can you still use clue tokens for them or other similar non-"skill" checks?

Actually you do. Fight does count as combat, but not vice versa.

Evade, Combat, Horror and Spell checks are still skill checks. If you check the base game rulebook, the sections describing each type of check on pages 14-16 each state "an x check is a skill check using the investigator's y value", where x is the check being made and y is the skill it is based upon.

Any other kind of roll you cannot use clues though, such as upkeep rolls or when you are called to "roll a die for each item", as these are not skill checks.

You can find it on the Arkham Horror Support page (hard to get to from here unfortunately). Note that the FAQ is rather old. Supposedly it's in the process of being updated, but i don't believe there have been any drafts posted yet.
