So I just read the wave four spoilers yesterday and I get the cloaking for the phantom, not much for the E-Wing, and the white K turn for the defender. But for Lt. Blount, I don't exactly see what it means by he "triggers splash damage from assault missles. Don't those missles already do that? I'm sure somebody got what it meant.

Usually Assault missiles need to land damage on the target to get the splash effect as they need to "hit" the target.

Seems Bloutn grants it no matter what...which is really good. If he has a decent PS, he'll be really good....he'll also be a lightning rod for your opponent if they have more than a few ships that need to fly formation.

No, if Blount does always count as hitting his target, even if the all the attack dice are canceled, he can strip stealth device off anyone. It has nothing to do with assault missiles.

If I look at his card, "when attacking ... hit by your ... does not ..."

There's hardly room for anything extensive, especially fitting in about triggering splash damage.

That might very well work, although it might also cause nightmares with the Ion Pulse Missiles:

"If this attack hits, the defender suffers one damage and recieves 2 ion tokens, then cancel all dice results".

essentially when he attack he always proc's or activates secondary effects as long as the requirement is "Hit"

I'd guess his text was specifically designed to go with ion Pulse missiles, don't they come in the same pack?

That's already true. Hit's don't require that you actually do damage as is.

Yes they do. For a ship to be hit there has to be at least one uncanceled explosion symbol, either open or filled, and each such symbol does damage. I can't think of any circumstances where that isn't true, except for Blount whose attack apparently counts as a hit, even if all explosion symbols get canceled (or, presumably, even if he doesn't roll any at all).

With a Stealth mod and that Advanced Cloaking device, he's going to be stupid. Too bad Blount can't have an ion turret. heh

Ooh I really like Blount, he'll be great for stripping Stealth Device off Howlrunner or Fel in preparation for other shots. Depending on what other PS 7-8 heavy hitters you have in your list, Veteran Instincts could shine on him.

It's a corner case, but... if Ship A attacks Ship X, and the only uncanceled result is a [crit], Ship Y with Draw Their Fire can pull it away. Ship X is hit by the attack, but takes no damage.

Stealth Device and Advanced Cloaking Device are both modifications, so you can't equip them both.

Too bad that's a modification, now we cant have a cloaked pilot with stealth device.

Oh and I noticed this, look at the bottom right modification. You can see it says some version of cloaking device, but more important it doesn't say tie phantom only. SO this could go on other ships. Tie interceptor anybody?

It's a bit off topic here as this is a topic concerning Z95's, but the Stygium Particle Accelerator seems to read "when you decloak or perform a cloak action, you may perform a free evade action".

As you need to be able to cloak it's only useful on a ship that can already cloak, so Phantom only for now.

ACD has been spoiled as a Phantom-only mod. The top line for ACD seen above even reads "TIE Phantom only: M__"

So thankfully, no silly Rebel-cloaked B-Wings.
